You probably remember Canadian pastor Artur Pawlowski from earlier this year. He was the pastor from Calgary, Alberta who refused to allow a health official and Calgary police into his church at Easter.
Videos later surfaced of him being arrested by a Calgary swat team on a public highway.
Well, a Calgary judge has just found Pastor Artur Pawlowski, his brother David and Christopher Scott who owns Whistle Stop Cafe, guilty of contempt of court charges.
The three were not only fined and put on probation, but were also told that if they continue to speak against Alberta’s public health regulations regarding COVID, they must also preach the science.
The CBC explained:
“As part of their probation conditions, Germain ruled that if the three pandemic-denying, anti-mask leaders continued to preach to their followers, they must also present the perspective of medical experts.“
The CBC added that the judge also said that the three were on the ‘wrong side of science’ and ‘commonsense.’

The following tweet is from Alberta:
I am not exactly sure what science the judge was talking about.
But, there have been several studies and epidemiologists stating that lockdowns were ineffective, perhaps Pastor Pawlowski could pick from some of these:
We will start with The Great Barrington Declaration, signed by nearly 15,000 verified medical and public health scientists (including dozens of epidemiologists) and just over 44,000 medical practitioners that opposed the use of lockdowns in stopping the COVID pandemic. (Note it was started by three leading epidemiologists from Harvard University, Oxford University and Stanford University). READ: The Great Barrington Declaration

There have also been studies suggesting that masks, particularly the commonly used blue ones, were not making any significant dents in stopping the spread of COVID. (On a personal note, I am not opposed to using a masks if it prevents us from going into a lockdown.):

I suspect there are also studies that lockdowns and masks work, but this only suggests that the science is far from settled on what are the most effective methods to stopping the spread of COVID.
