The United States is completing an election, as I write this, and what an election it has been. The two sides were divided and angry from the beginning, and the results will be almost a tie. When one side is finally declared the winner, the other side will argue about dishonesty and corruption in the voting process. There will be legal challenges, probably for months, and some people will never accept the results.
For the record, I am not choosing sides, and I hope everyone involved can find a good future. This election has divided the people of the wealthiest and most powerful country in the world, and the whole world will feel the fallout. There is no middle ground, or neutral position. The nation is divided.
This must hurt; the Russians are laughing at the Americans about the election:

This is huge.
So, is such a world-changing event in Bible prophecy? The Bible says many things about the future, and it focuses on things that will change history.
History is changing now.
There are Christian preachers who believe this is an even predicted in the Bible:
Something is happening: God tells us that the world is changing, and moving to a destination. History will change.
“Then as I looked, I saw a door standing open in heaven, and the same voice I had heard before spoke to me like a trumpet blast. The voice said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must happen after this.” (Revelation 4:1)
Nations must rise and fall: The dramatic decline of the wealthiest and most powerful country in the world is a shocking change to the whole world.
“He increases the nations, and he destroys them. He enlarges the nations, and he leads them captive.” (Job 12:23)
Wait and see: Some things will only be recognized when they develop to a conclusion. We will all know soon how big the changes are, in the U.S. and in the world.
“But you, Daniel, keep this prophecy a secret; seal up the book until the time of the end, when many will rush here and there, and knowledge will increase.” (Daniel 12:4)
Prophesy reverberates: The big changes that are coming will happen many times on a smaller scale, until the one big event.
“Dear children, the last hour is here. You have heard that the Antichrist is coming, and already many such antichrists have appeared.” (1 John 2:18)
There is only one end: Bible prophecy, predictions about the future, are about one thing only.
“Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with Me to give to each one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” (Revelation 22:12-14)
If we put all the pieces together, yes, this election might be prophesied in the Bible. It might be one step that brings us closer to God’s end for us. It feels like it.
We are close to our destination and history is moving us to the end.
