According to reports, the number of people murdered in New York City is nearly double the number murdered by the same time last year, and people are pointing their finger at New York’s Democrat Mayor Bill de Blasio as the reason for the increase.

On Sunday, Mayor Bill de Blasio’s (D) New York City passed the grim milestone of 1,000 shootings so far this year.
The New York Post reports NYPD data indicates there were 1,004 shootings in NYC as of August 30, 2020. There were 537 shootings by that same time in 2019.
Moreover, the data shows “an average of nearly 10 people fell victim to gun violence each day over the last four weeks.”

Of course, I am sure it has nothing to do with the fact that the New York’s Democrat mayor and city council has cut the budget of the city’s police department by $1 billion.
