Angry Experts and a Rejected Prophecy

Recently, someone published a religious “prophecy” ad in a newspaper in Nashville Tennessee. The paper has apologized and called the ad “horrific and is utterly indefensible in all circumstances.” At least one Christian has stated that the ad’s “claim is not supported in the Bible.” I respect those voices and I accept their verdict.

The danger for us all, is that anyone can be rejected with emotion and without evidence, if the experts say we are wrong. The people who wrote the “prophecy” ad can now claim religious persecution. It would be better if we could see at least part of their ad, to understand why it is wrong. Criticism must be transparent and correct.
