Recently, some scientists have been describing the origins of life on the Earth with language that is almost biblical. This is the strange case of secular scientists discovering something the Bible described thousands of years ago.
If there is one thing that separates science from religion, it’s the story of creation, or the origins of life on Earth. Charles Darwin published his theory of The Origin of the Species in November of 1859. Since then, secular science has removed God from our origins. Before that time, most people believed that God, or some divine force that created life.
Darwin is commonly called a “naturalist” but really he first apprenticed as a medical Doctor, and then trained as a minister for the Church of England. The young naturalist was a theologian, and I believe his theory of evolution (Origin of the Species) described a universe without God. Removing God was very important for the theologian; the God scientist.
Here is an accelerated summary of billions of years of natural history according to Darwin and his followers: Today, I think most scientists can explain that the universe began with a “Big Bang” and life somehow started from Chemical processes on the Earth. Maybe a bolt of lightning struck a puddle with the right temperature and a mix of minerals, and somehow a single living cell was formed. Single cells multiplied and eventually evolved into multi-celled organisms, living in water. Over time, fish struggled from the water and onto land, where plants had gone before. Over more time, mammals emerged, and then monkeys and apes, primates, evolved among the mammals. Some of those apes came down from the trees and walked upright, and eventually became us.
A scientist could give a better description, my summary is too rapid, but that is basically what children are taught in school these days. The complete work of Charles Darwin removes God from the universe, and I think that was the intention. The Theory of Evolution is theology, not just natural science.
Recently, some new ideas have emerged among scientists and these ideas don’t fit Darwin’s uniformitarian model with gradual changes. For example, one recent article about the science of ancient life describes the ‘explosion’ of life forms one the Earth.

According to the article, life on Earth ‘stagnated’ and then, in the Cambrian Explosion “nearly all major animal groups alive today” appeared. These life forms did not exist, and then they did.
That sounds familiar.
In the no-God story, before the explosion of life, the universe emerged, possibly through the Big Bang.

After the ‘day’ of an ancient time span, came the ‘night’ of an extinction event, such as the Great Dying.

In the Bible story of Creation, the beginning is a Big Bang “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Nothing became something.
And I will skip to the fifth day of creation “And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.” So, God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind.” (Genesis 1: 20 and 21). Thousands of years ago an ancient book described a pattern that scientists are only discovering today, using sophisticated research and technology. Life exploded.
After that day; “And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.” (Genesis 1: 23). The time span, with unique events, came to an end or an ‘evening.’ This is a pattern that scientists are beginning to discover in extinction events.
There are some big differences between evolutionary science and biblical creation, but it is interesting how the two systems are beginning to merge, instead of separating like oil and water. Patterns that scientists dismissed as fairy tales in the Bible have recently become mainstream science. The Bible is an ancient book, and it is curious that uneducated bronze age people wrote about things that our best scientists are only beginning to discover now.
Everything old is new again.
The Lord brought me forth as the first of his works, before his deeds of old; I was formed long ages ago, at the very beginning, when the world came to be. When there were no watery depths, I was given birth, when there were no springs overflowing with water; before the mountains were settled in place, before the hills, I was given birth, before he made the world or its fields or any of the dust of the earth. I was there when he set the heavens in place, when he marked out the horizon on the face of the deep, when he established the clouds above and fixed securely the fountains of the deep, when he gave the sea its boundary so the waters would not overstep his command, and when he marked out the foundations of the earth. (Proverbs 8: 22 to 29)
the big bang theory explain “……somehow a single living cell was formed…”
the question still hold…. how does that “single cell” formed? or, who form that “single cell”?

Thank you for your comment. The two sides are still far apart, and for me, God is the creator. I believe science is moving closer to the account in the Bible, even if scientists will not acknowledge it.

for I, also, believe that God is the creator. And even if that big bang theory were true, I will still believe in God… because He is the only one who is able to form that “single cell”… and multiply into malt-cell.
