Study concludes that marijuana users are a third more likely to have heart disease

One of the biggest problems with the legalization of Marijuana is the claims by activists behind this push that it is a ‘safe drug.’ According to a study by researchers from Stanford University, regular users of Cannabis are 34% more likely to experience coronary artery disease than those who don’t use the drug, the Daily Mail reports. The conclusion was based on a study of 175,000 Americans. Lead researcher, Dr Ishan Paranjpe, said: ‘In terms of the public health message, it shows that there are probably certain harms of cannabis use that weren’t recognized before, and people should take that into account.’ Previous studies have found that marijuana not only caused people’s hearts to beat faster but that it also caused a person’s arteries to narrow quickly. Asbury ends revival meetings, services restart at Lexington arena

There have been some questions, after Asbury University decided to shut down revival services effective Friday, February 24, 2023. The revival spontaneously broke out during a chapel service at the university on February 8, and have been running every day since then. This has resulted in thousands of people from around the world traveling to Asbury to see what was happening firsthand. The reasons given for shutting down the revival were because the crowds were overwhelming Asbury facilities and disrupting classes. But this move has caused some questions, as it seems the Asbury administration was abandoning the revival as it made no attempt to provide for its continuation at a larger off-site venue. Fortunately, Christian evangelist Nick Hall, stepped in and arranged for the meetings to continue at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky, over the weekend, CBN reports. The arena is a thirty-minute drive from Asbury. Unfortunately, this last-minute arrangement resulted in little advance notice to those wishing to attend. Industry experts were shocked when Jesus Revolution scored third at the box office this past weekend bringing in an estimated $15.5 million as it played in 2,400 theaters across America. Evidence of ancient brain surgery discovered at Megiddo

Israel365 News reports on the discovery of evidence of ancient brain surgery at the site of Megiddo in Northern Israel. Archaeologists discovered the remains of two brothers buried underneath the floor of a wealthy family home. They were dated to around 1500 BC. The bones revealed that both suffered from a chronic disease for most of their life. One of the brothers was in his early 20s when he died and the other was between the age of 21 and 46 years. After examining the bones, it was discovered there had been a three-centimeter square opening cut into the skull forehead of the older man. There was no indication of healing suggesting it had been removed shortly before his death, perhaps in a last-minute desperate attempt to save the individual’s life. The medical surgery, referred to as trepanation, has been used for thousands of years, and there is evidence of many surviving the procedure. While, Christians witnessed an outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Asbury college in Kentucky, CBN reported on an unusual counter event that will be taking place in Boston at the end of April. Called ‘SatanCon 2023,’ the event is being hosted by The Satanic Temple (TST) based in Salem, Massachusetts and is billed as “a weekend of blasphemy and remembrance in Boston.” According to TST’s website, the event has already been sold out and promises to be the largest satanic gathering in history. This will be the second convention sponsored by TST and this year’s event will mark the group’s tenth anniversary. The event, which will run from April 28-30, will coincide with an ancient German holiday called Hexennacht or ‘witches night’ a two-day event that typically runs from April 30 to May 1. It is a big deal today if you mis-gender someone, but it seems that the Church of England is determined to do just that with God. Even though the Bible refers to God with male pronouns such as He and terms like “Our Father”, the Church of England Bishops recently decided to mis-gender God and refer to Him with gender-neutral terms, the Daily Mail reports. This would include even changing the first line of the Lord’s prayer that starts with “Our Father.” However, a recent poll by Redfield and Wilton Strategies found that 65% of people are opposed to this gender-neutral change. With 20% stating they were uncertain, only 15% actually supported it. Of course, the Church of England has gone completely woke, and such a move would require the support of the General Synod, where there would be significant resistance to such changes. Even the world-wide Anglican church is starting to tire of the Church of England’s liberal trend. We have a coffee shop close by, and we are supposed to do a health walk and end up at the coffee shop. Winter is on us, and we drove to the destination and walked across the parking lot. Don’t judge us. We are all near retirement age, and the coffee conversation found a topic right away; family. In our fitness/coffee-break group, we have all lived long enough to know that people should get along, and we should be kind to each other. This is not just some feel-good lesson our mothers taught us. We need human kindness to survive. We are old enough to know that. We all had stories. In any family, when a large inheritance is passed out, there may be some terrible stories. If you can’t relate, someday you will. Family problems happen to us all. So, how do we deal with strife and …
