Fake Amazon reviews?

I try to avoid buying off Amazon as much as possible, as I prefer to support businesses in my local community that are paying taxes and providing jobs. But on occasion, I have used Amazon reviews to determine if I should purchase an item. Now, it seems, I shouldn’t even do that because there are websites selling fake Amazon reviews. Apparently, you can even buy them in bulk.

Why Kelly forgave her husband’s murderers?

There is a lot of anger in the world today, and a lot of reasons to justify our anger and certainly Kelly Saenz had a reason. While working in Colombia sharing the Gospel, Kelly and Pabel Saenz met and were married in 2008 and continued to work together, sharing their faith in the South American country. But things took a dramatic turn in November 2014, when Pabel, who was working as a motorcycle taxi driver, disappeared after going into a dangerous region in Colombia. Kelly spent the next couple of days frantically searching for her husband, but three days later she received word from the regional police that her husband was dead having been choked to death by two men in the area that Pabel had travelled to. When she found out where her husband had died, Kelly went to the village and met with the chief to discuss her husband’s murder. It was then she discovered that two of the chief’s nephews were the ones’ responsible. In a meeting with the village council, she …

Did green energy cause the Texas freeze?

When you think of Texas, you think of a state full of oil and natural gas, so why are Texans experiencing energy blackouts in the midst of the coldest weather they had seen in decades. The answer: thinking green. Nearly half of Texas’ windmills that provide a significant percentage of the state’s electrical power froze up. Green energy didn’t cause the freeze of course, that was caused by man-made Global Warming (sarcasm). But this green energy failure is causing people to suffer the consequences of the freeze. The Houston Chronicle explains: Natural gas shortages and frozen wind turbines were already curtailing power output when the Arctic blast began knocking generators offline early Monday morning. The Electric Reliability Council of Texas, or ERCOT, which is responsible for scheduling power and ensuring the reliability of the electrical network, declared a statewide power generation shortfall emergency and asked electricity delivery companies to reduce load through controlled outages. More than 4 million customers were without power in Texas, including some 1.2 million in the Houston area, the worst power …

Britain: ‘Do not resuscitate orders’ for those with learning disabilities who catch COVID?

According to a report by Royal Mencap Society, people with learning disabilities in Britain were told if they caught COVID, they would be given “Do Not Resuscitate Orders.” Breitbart provides the details: The Royal Mencap Society, a top charity for people with learning disabilities, claimed that it had received reports in January from people with mental handicaps who said that they were told if they contracted the coronavirus, they would not be resuscitated. Mencap’s chief executive, Edel Harris, told The Guardian: “Throughout the pandemic many people with a learning disability have faced shocking discrimination and obstacles to accessing healthcare, with inappropriate Do Not Attempt Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (DNACPR) notices put on their files and cuts made to their social care support. “It’s unacceptable that within a group of people hit so hard by the pandemic, and who even before Covid died on average over 20 years younger than the general population, many are left feeling scared and wondering why they have been left out.” READ: Coronavirus Patients with Learning Disabilities Given ‘Do Not Resuscitate Orders’ in Britain According …

Do Good guys wear black?

When I was a kid, I’d watch matinées at the Princess Theatre. In glorious back and white, the hero would fight off monsters, villains, and all forms of evil, win the love of the girl, and live happily ever after. The good guys would always win and justice was always served. It was pretty clear who the good guys were. They wore white hats. The bad guys wore black hats. In the Bible, it is pretty clear who the good guy is. He is God. And it is pretty clear who the bad guy is. He is Satan. But there is a problem. Unlike the old movies, the bad guy switches hats. This found its way into movies as well, and the evil in the movies became more difficult to distinguish from the good. The formula changed, and the bad guys cleverly disguised themselves as good guys. Instead of straight-forward evil, it was subtle and looked the same as the good guys. And when evil was discovered it was not always vanquished. Sometimes the good …
