In an article for Charisma News, James Lasher writes that deliverance ministries are reporting an uptick in spiritual warfare in recent months.

As part of this, he pointed to comments made by Daniel Adams in a recent video.

Adams was former MMA cage fighter before he had an encounter with the Holy Spirit in 2013, leading to his conversion to Christ. After attending Reinhard Bonnke School of Evangelism, Adams set up a ministry called The Supernatural Life. His ministry focuses on preaching the gospel with Holy Spirit power demonstrated through healings and deliverances.

In recent months, he has noticed a rise in demonic activity..

He believes this is due in part to more people, particularly the young, participating in occult activities such as crystals, Tarot cards and witchcraft. This in turn has opened them up to demonic oppression and torment.

Oppression is getting more real. The spirit realm is colliding with this world like never before,” Adam said.

But unfortunately, Adams believes that the church is not functioning as it should in this area. People who are demonically oppressed are going to church, hearing a good sermon, but they are not experiencing deliverance.

Churches need to become more involved in this type of ministry, because it is at the core of the gospel message, Adams said. He pointed out that “one-third of Jesus’s ministry was casting out demons.”

But Adams was not the only one noticing this increase.

Roman Catholic Exorcists Call for Help

Lasher added that Catholic exorcists recently called on Pope Leo XIV to approve more exorcists for the dioceses. They state that calls for exorcisms are increasing and they can no longer meet the demands.

Within the Catholic church there is an organization called the International Association of Exorcists. It is composed of priests who have been officially recognized and trained to perform exorcisms. It currently has around 900 members. In comparison, the Catholic church has 2,250 dioceses worldwide.

While the Roman Catholic Church has a professional class of exorcists, Adam believes that all Christians have the power and authority to deal with the demonic.

We need real people doing real God things in these last days,” Adams said.

Increased Spiritual Warfare in the End Times

These warnings may signal that we have entered the end times.

In the Book of Revelation, we see several events that suggest there will be a significant increase in spiritual warfare as we close out the end of the age.

Revelation is the written record of the Apostle John’s vision of events that would take place in the lead up to Jesus’ second return.

In Revelation 9: 1-11, John saw a horde of locust like, demonic creatures, with unique powers, being released from an abyss. They will be led by a general called Abbadon, which means simply destruction. Their primary goal will be to torment nonbelievers.

Then in verse 14, John saw four demonic angels who were imprisoned near the Euphrates River being released. After their release, they led a massive army that reeks havoc on the earth.

If we are entering these days, it’s time for believers to gear up. We need to ensure our spiritual armour is secure and prepare for battle.

I believe the Book of Revelation is false prophecy vis-a-vis Deuteronomy 18 and that Paul warned believers that it was inspired by Satan appearing as an Angel of Light. (3 Corinthians 11.) Moreover, I believe Paul mocked John’s revelation of the Seven Thunders at the beginning of 2 Corinthians 12 You need to pray fervently before you read this book because it can cast a Black Magic Spell on the reader.

See my paper “The Black Magic Spell of the Book of Revelation posted at my website antinomian universalism.com Thank you and God bless.
