According to an article on Israel365 News, antisemitic hate crimes have more than doubled in New York City in the first month of 2026.

The news was buried at the bottom of a NYPD news release heralding a drop in gun crimes in the city. January 2026 was actually declared the safest January in recorded history.

However, if you were a Jew, things were not so safe. The NYPD stated that antisemitic hate crimes were up 182% in January 2026, over the same month last year.

This included Swastikas being painted on playground equipment in Manhattan’s Borough Park. This is home of one of the largest Orthodox Jewish communities outside of Israel.

It also included a car being repeatedly rammed into the Chabad Lubavitch World Headquarters located in Brooklyn. It is a prominent Orthodox Jewish community with synagogues around the world.

Meanwhile, antisemitism has reached such high levels in Britain, that the US government is considering providing asylum to British Jews, CBN reports.

The antisemitic hate ranges from swastikas painted on Jewish homes to Jews being harassed and attacked in the streets.

On October 2, 2025, a man drove his car into a crowd of Jews who were visiting a synagogue in Manchester to celebrate Yom Kippur, Judaism’s most holy day. The attacker then left his vehicle and started stabbing people. Two members of the Jewish community were killed and three injured. Police also killed the attacker who according to reports had sworn allegiance to the Islamic State.

Jael Cohen-Rothschild, a Sephardic Jew attending the UK’s Cardiff Metropolitan University, found blood smeared on her door and her Israeli flag. Later, ‘Jude’, the German word for Jew, was also scrawled on her door.

I’m coordinating with my university to have someone escort me onto and off campus because that’s literally how unsafe I felt,” Cohen-Rothschild said.

But equally significant, she is now considering a move to Israel.

This has left some wondering if the increasing antisemitism is part of the prophetic end times timetable.

The Bible prophesied the restoration of the Nation of Israel. That historic event took place in 1948.

Though it doesn’t directly mention rising antisemitism, it may do so indirectly, The prophets saw the Jews scattered in nations around the world desiring to return to their homeland.

“‘For I will take you out of the nations; I will gather you from all the countries and bring you back into your own land.” (Ezekiel 36:24)

“On that day the Lord will extend His hand a second time to recover the remnant of His people from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. He will raise a banner for the nations and gather the exiles of Israel; He will collect the scattered of Judah from the four corners of the earth.” (Isaiah 11:1-2)

Is rising antisemitism the catalyst behind this return?
