25 “There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. (Luke 21:25 NIV)
One of the warnings that Jesus gave indicating His return was imminent was an upheaval taking place in the world’s oceans. Jesus said that the ‘roaring and tossing of the sea,” would cause many to be anxious, and perplexed.
The word perplexed suggests that the changes were unusual and unexpected.
This makes me wonder if a recent article in the Daily Mail may be an indication that we have entered this phase, which Jesus referred to as being part of the birth pangs (Matthew 24:8) leading up to the apocalypse and Christ’s return.
For decades, mansions have sat on the shores of America’s coastlines, providing panoramic views for their owners, but recently they are starting to be abandoned or even moved because of massive storms that are starting to erode the coastlines.
In her article, Helena Kelly cited one homeowner, Joan Levin who had lived in her home in Pacifica, California for 45 years but had been forced to move it because of the erosion taking place along the coastline. Levin stated, in an interview with ABC, that up to five feet of the coastline in front of her home had collapsed at one time, forcing the move.
Meanwhile, on the other side of America, Rhode Island “was hit by back-to-back storms earlier this month. Video footage shows homes on the town’s Roger Wheeler Beach on the verge of collapse.”
“Experts say beachfront properties are threatened by a perfect storm of increased cliff erosion, rising sea levels and extreme weather events,” Kelly added.
While Climate activists predictably cite rising water levels as the reason, the main cause has been the unprecedented storms battering America’s coastline and subsequently eroding away the land on which these homes stand.
