In an interview with Fox News, Tara-Leigh Cobble is shocked that her Bible reading podcast, Bible Recap, has hit the top spot on Apple podcasts in the Christian category.

When she started the podcast, in 2019, she was praying that 300 people would listen to her podcast where she basically provides a daily reading through the Bible, along with an explanation in a conversation style of what was happening.

Over the past four-plus years, the podcasts have been downloaded 331 million times and are listened to by thousands of people daily. What was once a one-woman show now composes a team of people and has expanded to include study guides and books.

The podcasts are typically ten minutes long, and she is on her 16th read through the Bible, which doesn’t avoid the tough passages.

“I started this project because I had spent much of my life trying and failing at reading through the Bible. And the one time that I finally succeeded, it was because a pastor friend who had read through the Bible several times offered to answer my questions along the way,” Tara-Leigh said in her interview with Fox News.
