According to the Bible’s end times prophets, Persia will join with Gog and Magog in a battle against Israel, known as Armageddon.

With Magog described as a country to the furthest north of Israel (Ezekiel 39:1-2), many have proposed it is referring to Russia and Persia is basically modern-day Iran.
