Last year, there was a buzz when popular reality star Kat Von D, whose real name is Katherine von Drachenberg, announced she had become a Christian.
It was all the more dramatic considering she had been heavily involved in the occult at the time, which she left after her conversion.
Recently, a video has surfaced of Kat Von D, 41, being water-baptized by full immersion, CBN reports. The crowd watching the event included several family and friends.
Though there is no indication of where the former occultist was baptized, the pastor overseeing the event proclaimed at Kat Von D’s baptism:
“Katherine von Drachenberg, upon your profession of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in obedience to His Divine command, I baptize you, my sister, in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.“
For those who don’t know, Kat Von D came to prominence through an involvement in two tattoo reality shows Miami Ink and LA Ink.
She had since branched out into modeling, writing and also developed her own Goth make-up line.
But prior to her conversion, Kat Von D was also heavily involved in the occult and sold numerous occultic items, including tarot cards, along with witchcraft books.
But that all changed in 2022 when she converted to Christ.
In an Instagram post, Kat Von D stated, “Today, I went through my entire library, and threw out books that just don’t align with who I am and who I want to be.”
Kat Von D noted that a ‘spiritual battle taking place.’
