While BLM activists were rioting across America in 2020, two pro-life activists in Washington DC were arrested for using chalk to write “Black Pre-Born Lives Matter” on a public sidewalk, The Blaze reports.
Yes, they used chalk that can be washed off with water
The arrest took place during a pro-life rally.
After they were arrested for this horrific crime, the Alliance Defending Freedom took up this case and sued the city. In a 3-0 ruling, the Federal Courts of Appeal just exonerated the duo noting that there was a double standard at play.
Though the city charged the two pro-lifers, it did not charge BLM activists who at the same time were using both paint and chalk to write their slogans on public sidewalks and roads.
This selective enforcement of the city’s defacement law was noted by Circuit Judge Neomi Rao in the final ruling:
“The District all but abandoned enforcement of the defacement ordinance during the Black Lives Matter protests, creating a de facto categorical exemption for individuals who marked ‘Black Lives Matter’ messages on public and private property.”
