A couple of weeks ago, a university student, Olivia Krolczyk, said in a TikTok video that she had received a zero grade from her professor because she dared to use the phrase ‘biological women’ in her project proposal.
Krolczyk’s video has received well over one million views on various social media platforms, and she added in an interview with Fox News that the three-part project was worth half the grade for her class.
When she emailed her professor, who was unnamed at this point, about the grade she was told that the term ‘biological women’ was ‘transphobic.
Her project revolved around the impact that trans women (biological males) had on female competitive sports and terms like ‘biological women’ were necessary to distinguish the two groups.
Krolczyk has a personal interest in the topic since she competed in track and cross-country through high school and her first year of university.
It has now been revealed the professor allegedly responsible for the zero grade was Melanie Rose Nipper, 28, a woke left-wing sexual studies professor at the University of Cincinnati, the Daily Mail reports.
In an interview with the Cincinnati Enquirer, Nipper has since come out with all guns blazing bragging that if students don’t fall in line with her ‘hyper woke’ beliefs she deducts points.
The Daily Mail writes:
Nipper told the Cincinnati Enquirer that her support of free speech ends when ‘you are, intentionally or unintentionally, participating in a systemic harm of some kind,’ – including statements she deems transphobic or racist.
Outlining the punishment meted out to anyone who dares to offend her, Nipper attempted to paint her antics as reasonable, declaring: ‘Not a zero for the course, a zero for an assignment.’
Bizarrely, the academic went on to slam a proposed Ohio state bill aimed at cracking down on controversial campus speech.
Nipper moaned it had a ‘chilling’ effect on her work, seemingly forgetting the draconian tactics she deploys to try and stop students using language she dislikes.
The University of Cincinnati is now investigating Professor Nipper after Krolczyk issued a ‘freedom of speech’ complaint against he professor.
“Krolczyk shared a statement she says she sent to the Office of Gender Equity and Inclusion as well as the Provost Faculty Affairs Office,” wrote Payton Marshall in his article for Fox 19.
“It reads in part: ‘The campus free speech policy section 5 states it is not the proper role of the university to attempt to shield individuals from free speech including ideas and opinions they find offensive. The professor’s advisement to redo the assignment violates my right to the First Amendment speech per section 1,’” Marshall added.
