Mike Aldrich serves as a deacon at his Church of Christ in Plantation, Florida.
He and his wife Julie were involved in a car accident with another couple Craig Washington and his fiancée, Anna, The Christian Chronicles reports.
Though no one was hurt, the police were called and while they were waiting for the police service aid’s report to be done, Aldrich noticed that Craig was nervously pacing around their car.
When Aldrich asked if everything was fine, Craig said that he and his finance were on their way to Naples to be married, and looking at his vehicle, he was concerned that they would miss their own wedding.
Aldrich asked if he could pray for the couple and then he and his wife Jean offered to drive them to the courthouse in Naples for their marriage appointment, an hour and a half journey.
Before they parted Julie gave her phone number to Craig and invited them to church.
Three weeks later the now-married couple showed up at church, joined a Bible study, and were water baptized a month later.
