In a recent YouTube video, Evangelist Ray Comfort said that his ministry would be releasing a documentary about a person who worked closely with famous evolutionary biologist and atheist Richard Dawkins, Faithwire reports.
Dawkins, 82, is an outspoken critic of Christianity and creationism and wrote a book entitled, ‘The God Delusion,’ as part of his attack on faith.
Comfort stated that an individual had contacted their ministry claiming to be a close associate with Dawkins, but had become a Christian.
The individual, who worked for four years with Dawkins before becoming a believer, helped produce several documentaries for the infamous atheist. Apparently, Dawkins even dedicated one of his bestselling books to the person.
The individual was even working with Dawkins when the atheist personally attacked Comfort by giving him the nickname ‘banana man,’ a term that was quickly picked up by others to mock the evangelist.
“He said that he had put his faith in Jesus, adding that he produced a number of his documentaries, and he even said that the famous atheist had dedicated one of his bestselling books to him,” Comfort told Faithwire. “I was very skeptical, but after some research, I found that what he said was true.”
Comfort added that they flew the unnamed individual into their TV Studio in California for further follow-up and interviews and will soon be releasing a documentary on his story.
“I think Christians are going to be greatly encouraged by what they see and hear,” Comfort added.
Four years ago, Comfort released a video on how God turned the ‘banana man’ incident into good:
