According to the daughter of former House speaker, Nancy Pelosi, her mother had Roman Catholic priests come into her home and perform an exorcism after Pelosi’s husband was seriously injured in an attack at their home on Oct 28, 2022, The Blaze reports.

Nancy’s daughter, Alexandra Pelosi, made the admission in a recent interview with the New York Times, stating that the attack deeply impacted her mother.

“I think that weighed really heavy on her soul. I think she felt really guilty. I think that really broke her,” Alexandra said in the interview.

Nancy’s husband was severely injured in the attack after being hit with a hammer by an intruder in their home while police were standing only a few feet away.

Roman Catholic exorcisms include blessings, prayers, and invocations found in an 84-page manual entitled Of Exorcisms and Certain Supplications.

This can include such invocations as:

Depart, then, transgressor. Depart, seducer, full of lies and cunning, foe of virtue, persecutor of the innocent. Give place, abominable creature, give way, you monster, give way to Christ, in whom you found none of your works. For he has already stripped you of your powers and laid waste your kingdom, bound you prisoner and plundered your weapons. He has cast you forth into the outer darkness, where everlasting ruin awaits you and your abettors.

An exorcism also can not be performed without the permission of the local Bishop and is typically done when it’s believed there has been a demonic influence.
