Reporter describes a surreal moment at police protest

The left-wing, all-Democrat city council in Oakland, California had just recently voted to cut the funding to their police department as part of their plan to reduce the surging crime rates in the city.

In response, the citizens of Oakland decided to organize a “Stand up for a Safe Oakland” rally opposing the cuts because of the rapidly rising crime rates in the city.

Of course, Antifa, a left-wing anarchist group, decided to show up at the rally to protest those who opposed the cuts.

Reporter Lee Fang noticed that the clear majority of people who “opposed” the police cuts were black, while the Antifa protestors, who supported the cuts and demanded more, were largely white.

The Blaze reports on a comment Fang made about the surreal event:

“Dramatic confrontation before I got there,” Fang explained of the confrontation. “A lot of the anti-violence activists from East Oakland said they were disappointed in the white anti-police antifa protesters, said they seemed close minded and disconnected from the actual violence in the city.”

Of course, anyone who reads the mainstream media, and believes it, would just presume that all blacks support funding cuts for police departments.
