A 35-year-old man was recently found dead in Colorado’s Montezuma County. After tests by the local coroner, George Deavers, revealed a blood alcohol reading of .55, nearly double the lethal limit, Deavers designated the man’s death to alcohol poisoning.
However, state health officials decided to list the cause of death as COVID-19, because the man also had the coronavirus.
Upset by this change, Deavers told KCNC-TV:
“They should have to be recording the same way I do. They have to go off the truth and facts and list it as such.
“It wasn’t COVID, it was alcohol toxicity. Yes, he had COVID, but that is not what took his life.”
So why are they doing this? And more importantly how many more times has this happened?
