In a 4 to 3 ruling, Wisconsin’s Supreme Court overturned the state’s stay-at-home orders mandated by an unelected government official. The decision allowed all businesses to reopen and ended any restrictions on the size of public gatherings in that state. But the ruling allowed schools to remain closed at the government’s discretion.
According to Breitbart:
“Health secretary Andrea Palm had issued the order, and the court found she didn’t have the authority to do so.
“’Rule-making exists precisely to ensure that kind of controlling, subjective judgement asserted by one unelected official, Palm, is not imposed in Wisconsin,’ Chief Justice Patience Roggensack wrote in the majority opinion.”
Former Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker congratulated the decision as it upheld the rule of law in that state.
