If you are a Christian using the social media site, Pinterest, to post inspiring messages and even Bible verses, you may want to consider another social media alternative.
With over 290 million monthly users, Pinterest is a popular social media site that allows users to use photos or images and to a lesser extent videos and gifs to communicate to other users and followers.
Founded in 2009, Christians have used Pinterest to create colorful images displaying Bible verses and inspirational quotes, many of which end up on other social media sites such as Facebook.
But Pinterest is also based in California, where other similarly-based social media sites are being accused of having an anti conservative and anti Christian bias.
And according to a recent expose by Project Veritas, it seems that Pinterest has joined that mob. On the organization’s Youtube Channel, Project Veritas’ founder James O’Keefe explains its mission this way:
“The mission of Project Veritas is to investigate and expose corruption, dishonesty, self-dealing, waste, fraud, and other misconduct in both public and private institutions in order to achieve a more ethical and transparent society.”
Basically Project Veritas reveals what is actually happening behind closed doors.
The organization was recently contacted by a person working inside Pinterest who wanted to expose the anti-Christian bias inside the massive multi media site. The whistle-blower alleges that Pinterest uses several tricks to hinder the Christian message.
For example, it has a “Sensitive Terms List” that intentionally limits the auto complete for search terms. Originally created to limit the search for such things as porn-related images, according to the whistle-blower, the list is now being used to hinder Christian-related searches by including words and phrases such as “Christian,” “Bible verses” and “Christian Easter” on the list.
Not only will the auto complete not work for these term, when a person searches for “Bible verses” the search is completed with “Bible versus” which could lead to messages opposing the Bible.
It also has a “block list” that contains a list of websites that are not allowed to have links on the social media site. When a person tries to create a link to the banned site, it will end up with an error message.
This again was originally intended to block porn sites, but the insider alleges that people inside Pinterest are using this feature to censor conservative and Christian websites that they don’t like.
Live Action, which is prominently a pro-life website, has found itself on the “block list” and James O’Keefe provided a live demonstration of his inability to post a link to Live Action after successfully posting a link to another website not on the block list.
Shortly after the Project Veritas expose, Live Action reported that Pinterest had now completely banned Live Action’s account.
As well, the Pinterest insider alleges the social media platform has also removed material it did not agree with, without informing the user.
When Project Veritas asked Pinterest to respond to these allegations, it responded with this comment:
“Religious content is allowed on Pinterest, and many people use our service to search for and save Pins inspired by their beliefs. To protect our users from being targeted based on personal characteristics such as their religion, we have policies in place so that ads and recommendations don’t appear alongside certain terms.”
Project Veritas originally reported that Pinterest had discovered who the whistle-blower was and fired him, but Veritas is now reporting that the insider was put him on administrative leave.
We are living in interesting times. Never in North America’s history has there been such an active and brazen discrimination against Christians coming primarily from those on the political left.
But this was daily life for Jesus’ disciples and the early church believers.
When the people were proclaiming Jesus as the Messiah, as the Lord rode a donkey into Jerusalem, pharisees in the crowd demanded that Christ shut them up (Luke 19:37-40).
Peter and John were arrested for healing a lame man (Acts 4) and later the priests had the disciples arrested for preaching the Gospel and healing the sick in Solomon’s Colonnade. But during the night an angel actually broke them out of jail (Acts 5:17-32).
We are entering a time when there is a concerted effort to stop the Biblical message, but God did not leave the early church unarmed in their hostile environment as we witnessed increasing angelic activity and the Holy Spirit moving on the early church with power through signs and wonders.
Expect the same today.

They have censors on everything it seems. But I actually think the algorithm is crazy.
If you look up something about sex, it gives you a bunch of Christian “it’s good to wait” stuff. If you look up something about God, it gives you atheist stuff.
If you look up something about dating, it gives you marriage stuff. If you look up about marriage, it gives you divorce stuff.
And the more specific you get, the worse it gets.
It makes no sense.
