Euthanasia is Canada’s sixth leading cause of death

According to the Daily Caller, euthanasia is now one of Canada’s leading causes of death. With nearly 10,000 Medically Assistance in Dying (MAid) conducted in 2021, the Daily Caller reports it is now the sixth leading cause of death in the country. With those numbers likely to increase, some medical associations are demanding that euthanasia no longer be included as a cause of death on death certificates. Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, legalized euthanasia in 2016 for those 18 years and older suffering from serious medical problems. The government will expand the program in 2023 to allow those experiencing mental health issues to also seek MAiD Since its introduction, the program has been continually expanded, and with some of the loosest euthanasia laws in the world, there are growing concerns in Canada about the program. It has been reported that some people with disabilities are being forced to consider euthanasia because they can no longer keep up with their medical bills. There are also reports of government bureaucrats working with the federal government’s Veteran Affairs …

Canada: The cause of death?

In 2016, Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, introduced Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD), which allowed those who were suffering from severe illnesses/disabilities to request euthanasia from medical practitioners. It has taken a horrific turn recently, as in 2023, Trudeau will be extending it to include those experiencing mental health issues. In his article, Maid: from Consent to Coercion, Darshan Maharaja provides yet another recent development on the MAiD front: Even after seeing many shocking facts & revelations on the MAiD issue over the past 2 months, it came as a jolt to me that the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario has made a draft policy to the effect that the death certificate of MAiD recipients in the province will NOT show MAiD as the cause of their death… READ: MAiD: From Consent To Coercion It is also being pushed on people who didn’t request it A Canadian army veteran, who was permanently injured during military training, was allegedly offered MAiD by a government bureaucrat, when she complained to the Federal government’s Veteran Affairs …

Canada: Your stair-lift delivery will be late, would you prefer euthanasia instead?

Welcome to the new Canada, where you are offered euthanasia if you are becoming frustrated by how long it is taking to have a stair-lift installed in your home. It is a story of how sick the euthanasia culture, officially referred to as Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID), has become in Canada and how quickly it sunk after being introduced by Prime Minister Trudeau in 2016. Disabled retired Army Corporal Christine Gauthier is a former Paralympian and in recent testimony before Canada’s House of Commons she shared her story about an alleged encounter with the Federal government’s veteran affairs, the Daily Mail reports. Gauthier had been permanently injured in an army training accident in 1989, and had requested a stairlift for her home in 2017, so she wouldn’t have to crawl to her bedroom using her hands. Though approved there were significant delays in getting it installed. According to Gauthier while complaining to a Veteran Affair’s employee about the delay, he apparently offered MAID to solve her problem. READ: Disabled Canadian Army veteran Paralympian blasts …

Religious leaders condemn Canada’s euthanasia laws

In an interview with Fox News, religious leaders in Canada are condemning the country’s euthanasia laws which are among the most expansive in the world. Since, the program, which goes by the acronym MAID (Medical Assistance in Dying), was introduced in 2016, the provisions have been gradually loosened each year. In 2023, the rules will be expanded allowing those who are experiencing mental illness to apply for medically assisted suicide and to even give doctors permission to suggest it as an option for their patients. In an interview with Fox News, Vancouver’s Roman Catholic Archbishop, J. Michael Miller called the law ‘morally depraved’ adding: “In six years, Canada has gone from totally banning euthanasia to one of the most permissive euthanasia regimes in the world. And even more access could be coming, including allowing ‘mature minors’ to request it.” RELATED: Canadian religious leaders speak out as country set to allow euthanasia for mental illness The loosening of Canada’s medically assisted suicide laws Breitbart provides more details on the gradual loosening of the rules for medically …
