How Twitter fact-checked President Biden’s tweet

With Elon Musk’s purchase of the social media giant, Twitter, people are hoping for a return to free speech and facts on the platform. It may be too soon to tell, but people were pleasantly surprised when Twitter fact-checked one of President Biden’s tweets when his office gloated: “Seniors are getting the biggest increase in their social security checks in 10 years through President Biden’s leadership.” In response to the now-deleted Tweet, Twitter pointed out in a statement below the tweet, that the increase was simply an automatic cost of living adjustment due to inflation caused by the Biden administration. The fact check stated: “Seniors will receive a large Social Security benefit increase due to the annual cost of living adjustment, which is based on the inflation rate. President Nixon in 1972 signed into law automatic benefit adjustments tied to the Consumer Price Index. Pub. L. 92-336 (1972).” READ: Twitter praised for fact-check on White House account: ‘Fact checks are getting factual now!’

Green Peace: Recycling is a waste of time and money

Many municipalities are embracing recycling forcing their citizens to separate their plastics from their regular garbage. Of course, along with those new bins, the city is able to add extra charges, call it a tax grab, in order to save the environment. In a shocking report, Green Peace has announced that the recycling of plastics is basically a scam and does nothing to save the environment and in fact, is probably making things worse. The City Journal writes: This has been obvious for decades to anyone who crunched the numbers, but the fantasy of recycling plastic proved irresistible to generations of environmentalists and politicians. They preached it to children, mandated it for adults, and bludgeoned municipalities and virtue-signaling corporations into wasting vast sums—probably hundreds of billions of dollars worldwide—on an enterprise that has been harmful to the environment as well as to humanity.[…] The Greenpeace report offers a wealth of statistics and an admirably succinct diagnosis: “Mechanical and chemical recycling of plastic waste has largely failed and will always fail because plastic waste is: (1) …

Poll: 37% of small business owners unable to pay October rent

A popular coffee shop in our area that a friend and I often visited was shut down a few months back. A sign posted on the door by the owner of the building stated that they had not paid their rent. They didn’t survive the pandemic shutdown, and with the recent economic turmoil in the US, they may not be alone. A recent poll conducted by Alignable revealed that 37% of small business owners in the US may be unable to pay their October rent. The Daily Wire provides more details: Small American businesses, crippled by rampant inflation, higher gas prices, soaring supply chain costs, and a concomitant plunge in consumer spending, are growing in their inability to pay their rent, according to a recent survey. Alignable’s October Rent Report shows that in October, 37% of small business owners surveyed stated they were unable to pay their rent. The rate of delinquency was 30% in September. The 7% increase represented the biggest, fastest increase month to month in 2022. A total of 59% of small business owners told …

Scientists warn a massive asteroid is lurking in our solar system

As part of his apocalyptic vision of the end times, the Apostle John saw an asteroid the size of a mountain slamming into the earth causing massive devastation. 8 The second angel sounded, and something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea; and a third of the sea became blood, 9 and a third of the creatures which were in the sea and had life, died; and a third of the ships were destroyed. (Revelation 8:8-9 NASV) Well, an observatory in Chile has just spotted three massive asteroids within what is described as our inner solar system, the Daily Mail reports. And one of them, 2022 AP7, is one mile or 1.5 km in diameter and actually has the potential to cross the path of the earth’s orbit around the sun. The asteroids within the inner solar system are very difficult to spot because the sun’s glare makes them almost impossible to spot. The Daily Mail explains: A massive asteroid described as a ‘planet killer’ has been spotted lurking in the inner …

Don’t let the sun’s smiley face fool you

Describing the sun as our solar system’s largest nuclear reactor, NASA recently tweeted a photo, taken by one of its satellites, of the sun showing a bizarre-looking smiley face. But don’t let that smile fool you. Those dark spots are caused by coronal holes, which are areas of high magnetic activity, which are spewing out solar winds into space. In large enough quantities, these have the potential to disrupt radio and television communication on earth and even damage electrical equipment. The National Post provides a quote by Brian Keating, a physics professor at the University of California: “When the particles, which carry electrical charge, hit the planet in small doses, colourful auroras might follow, bringing brilliant displays caused by the atmosphere’s gases interacting with the sun’s burped-up shoots of energy. The problems come if a tremendous number of the teeny-tiny particles hit Earth, Keating said. Instead of being sucked into Earth’s magnetic field, they could get picked up by radio antennae and disrupt radio, television and other communication channels. A severe solar storm could even …

Iranian-born MMA fighter tells his people there is freedom in Jesus

UFC fighter, Beneil Dariush, 33, who was born in Iran but now lives in the US recently testified of Jesus after his eighth consecutive MMA win, CBN reports. After the fight held on Oct 22, 2022, a reporter asked Dariush about his victory. Instead of talking about himself, he directed his comments to the Iranian people fighting for freedom in the tyrannical Islamic regime. Dairush told the Iranians that there is only freedom in Jesus. CBN reports: “I need to dedicate this fight to: My people in Iran. I know you’re struggling,” he said. “I know you’re fighting for freedom. I know it’s a tough struggle. I want you guys to know we’re praying for you, and we love you.” “Let me tell you one more thing. This might be the most important thing you’ll ever hear: there is true freedom, a freedom that no one can take from you in the name of Jesus Christ, the son of God,” he said. “Don’t ever forget that. If you remember one thing I say, remember that.” …

San Diego ERS report up to 37 marijuana psychosis patients a day

Just because activists claim marijuana is a safe drug, doesn’t mean it is According to the NY Post, San Diego emergency rooms are reporting upwards of 37 people a day coming for help after consuming marijuana. Most of the cases involve incidents of psychosis. The New York Post provides more details: “We’re now counting 37 cannabis-related diagnoses a day,” Dr. Roneet Lev, an addiction medicine doctor at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, said about her emergency department. “It’s been steadily increasing over the years. When I started in the 1990s, there was no such thing. Now I see 1 to 2 cases per shift. The most common symptom is psychosis.”  “We probably see 20 THC-induced psychoses for every amphetamine-induced psychosis,” said Ben Cort, who runs a drug and alcohol treatment center in Colorado. One study showed an increase of 24% in cases of psychoses in emergency departments in Colorado in the five years following marijuana’s legalization in that state in 2012. Since then, legal marijuana has been transformed into a potent and unrecognizable product. READ: San Diego …

Famous abstract art hung upside down for 75 years

Apparently, a famous painting by abstract artist, Piet Mondrian has been hanging upside down for the past 75 years. The Dutch artist created the picture, by putting strips of black, blue, red, and yellow adhesive tape on canvas in 1941. The artwork called New York City 1 is currently part of the collection of the German state of North Rhine-Westaphalia in Dusseldorf. An expert has recently concluded that the artwork, which has hung in galleries and museums around the world since 1945, is being displayed upside down. Now to be fair, they can’t be absolutely certain, since the famous artist died in 1944. But this guess is based on a similar adhesive tape painting that Mondrian constructed that is apparently hanging the other way. Of course, it is entirely possible this other painting is upside down, and New York City 1 is being displayed properly. Whatever the case, New York City 1 will not be hung the other way because of fears this could destroy the abstract art constructed of now dried-up adhesive tape. READ: …

Germany dismantles windmill to expand coal mine

After going green and now facing a looming energy crisis, Germany is not only reopening coal-power plants, it allowed a coal mine in the country to expand. INCREDIBLY, part of this expansion included the dismantling of at least one windmill. Michael Kern explains: A wind farm is being dismantled in western Germany to make way for an expansion of an open-pit lignite coal mine in a “paradoxical” situation highlighting the current prioritization of energy security over clean energy in Europe’s biggest economy.   The dismantling of at least one wind turbine at the wind farm close to the German coal mine Garzweiler, operated by energy giant RWE, has already started. RWE says that lignite, or brown coal, has been mined from the Garzweiler coalfields for over 100 years. RWE also said at the end of September that three of its lignite-fired coal units that were previously on standby would return to the electricity market on schedule in October. Poll: American’s fear of crime reaches five-decade high

According to a recent Gallup Poll, American’s concern about crime has reached a five-decade high, the Daily Mail reports: “Americans’ fears of rising crime levels have hit a five-decade high, with 56 percent now saying there is more crime in their area than a year ago, according to polling released by Gallup on Friday.” “This past year has seen a five-percentage-point increase in the number of adults saying crime was getting worse in their neighborhood — the highest level seen since Gallup started asking that question in 1972. “The survey measures perceptions, rather than overall crime levels, which ticked up during the Covid-19 pandemic and after racial protests over the police killing of George Floyd, but appear to be levelling.“ READ: Americans’ fears of rising crime have hit a FIVE-DECADE high, with 56% decrying an uptick in their own neighborhoods, and growing alarm over muggings, carjackings, home invasions and school attacks, says poll RELATED: Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul attacked in San Francisco home by intruder shouting ‘where is Nancy?’: source RELATED: San Francisco defunded the …

Supreme Court rules in favor of Freedom of Religion, coaches are allowed to pray

In a 6 to 3 vote, the US Supreme Court has just ruled in favor of a high school coach who was fired in 2015 for praying on the football field. Not only that, but the Court ordered that Joe Kennedy be returned to his position of an assistant football coach at Bremerton School District in Washington State by March 2023. After each game, Kenney would pray on the field and at times players would voluntarily join him. None of the players were forced to participate. “I had some kids that wanted to join, and they asked, and, of course, it’s a free country,” Kennedy said. Even though the school had ordered him to quit praying at the end of the game, Kennedy continued to do so, leading to his eventual firing. Kenney took the district to court arguing that it had violated his Freedom of Religion guaranteed under the First Amendment. The Blaze provides more details on the Supreme Court decision: “Respect for religious expressions is indispensable to life in a free and diverse …

Free Speech returns to Twitter as Musk takes over

Unless President Joe Biden intervenes Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter seems to be a done deal. To demonstrate how close the deal is to being completed, Musk changed his profile name to ‘Chief Twit’ and released a video of him entering Twitter headquarters carrying a kitchen sink. It is suspected that Musk will officially take over Twitter on Friday, Oct. 28, 2022. In a letter posted today, Musk revealed that his decision to purchase Twitter was for the sake of Free Speech in America as over the years the platform has repeatedly censored conservative voices. The Daily Wire provides more details of Musk’s letter: “The reason I acquired Twitter is because it is important to the future of civilization to have a common digital town square, where a wide range of beliefs can be debated in a healthy manner, without resorting to violence,” Musk wrote. “There is currently great danger that social media will splinter into far right wing and far left wing echo chambers that generate more hate and divide our society.” He also …

A partial solar eclipse in Israel has Orthodox Jews wondering

Israel365 News is an Orthodox Jewish news site based in Israel. Though they don’t accept Jesus as the Jewish Messiah, they believe there will be a Messiah. Along with that, they have an end-times theology, that speaks of when this Messiah will return. And in that day —declares my God— I will make the sun set at noon, I will darken the earth on a sunny day. (Amos 8:9 The Israel BibleTM) There was a partial eclipse of the sun in Israel on Tuesday, Oct 25, 2022, and Israel365 wrote of its spiritual significance. For reference, the Torah is what we refer to as the Old Testament, and the Talmud refers to an ancient Jewish commentary on the Torah. Israel365 has this to say about the solar eclipse: In its discussion of eclipses, the Talmud (Sukkot 29a) specifically described solar eclipses as being a bad omen for the nations that base their calendars on the solar cycle. At the end of this section describing the omens contained within eclipses, the Talmud states a disclaimer: “When …

Chinese Communist Party accused of trying to disrupt the US justice system

When the Chinese Communist Party isn’t busy setting up illegal police stations in other countries, its agents are allegedly trying to interfere with America’s justice system. The Blaze provides more details on why the U.S. Department of Justice recently charged 13 Chinese nationals: The Department of Justice announced on Monday that it had charged 13 Chinese nationals, ten of whom are believed to be spies, for efforts to “unlawfully exert influence in the United States.” Their alleged crimes include coercing American residents into traveling to China to face punishments, stealing secrets pertinent to the criminal investigation of Huawei, and recruiting more spies for China. Attorney General Merrick Garland indicated that, in three separate cases, communist agents operating in the U.S. sought to execute the will of the genocidal Chinese communist regime — to “interfere with the rights and freedoms of individuals in the United States and to undermine our judicial system that protects those rights.” These newly unsealed indictments come at a time of growing tensions between China and the West and after recent revelations …

Sweden scraps its climate change department

It was a bit of a shock, but the citizens of Sweden have finally tired of the left’s green and pro-crime agenda and for the first time in decades tossed them out of office. The first thing that the newly elected Prime Minister, Ulf Kristersson, did was scrap the country’s climate change department that promoted the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) agenda of net-zero carbon emissions by 2030. Armstrong Economics provides more details: “New Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson is not heeding to the Green agenda. He promptly eliminated the entire Ministry of Climate and Environment, marking the first time in 35 years that Sweden does not have a specific climate ministry. People are crying that the world will crumble without funding bureaucrats who pretend they have the ability to alter the weather cycle with enough funding.“ The Swedish government will also be restarting two nuclear reactors that were also shut down by the previous government’s green agenda and is also budgeting additional money for new nuclear power plants. It is the WEF’s net-carbon emission schedule, Agenda …

A simple Temple Pi mistake?

In their attempt to mock and discredit the Bible, atheists and skeptics have pointed to 1 Kings 7:23, which described the Bronze Laver as being ten cubits from ‘rim to rim,’ with a circumference of 30 cubits. The Bronze Laver, also called the Molten Sea, located in the temple’s outer court, sat on top of 12 oxen. It was where the priests washed their hands and feet before entering the temple (Leviticus 30:20). Using the mathematical pi equation, which divides the circumference of a circle by its diameter, skeptics state that there is an error in the verse because if the sea of Bronze was 10 cubits across then the circumference should be 31.5 cubits. But Creation Moments points to a verse, 1 Kings 7:26, that the skeptics seemed to have missed: “What the skeptics fail to notice is that verse 26 informs us that there was a rim, with a width of a handsbreadth. A cubit is about 18 inches, while a handsbreadth is 4 inches. So the circumference is 540 inches. The rim-to-rim …

Video: Dealing with ‘woke’ bank’s attack on energy and farming?

Left-wing activists and Democrats are trying to force American banks to go woke and allegedly using them to financially hinder oil companies and farmers over climate change issues. In response, nineteen state Attorney Generals (AGS) are demanding that six American banks hand over any documents related to the United Nations Net Zero Banking Alliance. The AGs allege that the environmental and social practices (ESG) instituted under this program is harming America’s energy and farming industry.

A smile can lighten up your day

A cheerful heart is good medicine,    but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. (Proverbs 17:22 NIV) According to a study conducted by researchers at Stanford University simply smiling for a photo or selfie can actually improve your mood. The researchers came to this conclusion after studying 3,878 people from 19 countries. They were broken up into three groups. Half of them looked at images of things like kittens and puppies and the other half looked at blank screens. As they were looking at the images or blank screens, one group was told to put a pen in their mouth to mimic smiling. The second group was told to copy the smile of a photo of smiling actors and the third group was asked to use their hands, to physically pull up the corner of the mouths and cheeks to mimic a smile. The researchers found that those who copied the smile of the actors or pushed the corners of their mouths were significantly happier than those who didn’t. The study entitled, The Many Smiles Collaboration, …

Major review of Australia’s response to COVID concluded lockdowns and school closures were a big mistake

A major independent review of how different levels of Australian governments responded to the COVID pandemic through lockdowns and the closing of schools and borders has concluded their response was a HUGE MISTAKE and cause unmeasurable damage. The review was led by Peter Shergold, who currently serves as Western Sydney University chancellor, and is well respected by people on all sides of the political spectrum. The review came to this conclusion after consulting over 200 experts from all fields including health and epidemiology, Writing for news.com.au, Joe Hildebrand provides more details: Lockdowns were wrong. School closures were wrong. Border closures were wrong. Poor people were hurt the most. These are the findings of the first and so-far only full inquiry into Australia’s response to Covid, an independent review funded by three major philanthropic organisation and headed by Peter Shergold, previously the most senior public servant in the country and now Western Sydney University chancellor — an eminent and highly qualified mind deeply respected on both sides of politics. Did the NY Times just endorse eco-terrorism and sabotage?

The New York Times has apparently allowed a Swedish Eco extremist, Andrew Malm, to write a column for their paper. In his article, Malm apparently praised eco-terrorism and sabotage. The Daily Caller provides more details: Throughout his NYT essay, Malm, who is also an associate professor of human ecology at Sweden’s Lund University, criticized the climate activists who threw soup on a famous Van Gogh painting in London to protest fossil fuel production as their actions were not “gritty” enough. Malm argues that engaging in eco-terrorism is the most productive and logical form of climate activism and is also the author of the nonfiction book, How to Blow Up a Pipeline: Learning to Fight in a World on Fire.  “As a rule, I tend to think sabotage is most effective when it is precise and gritty,” Malm wrote. Malm praised the British environmentalists who destroyed gas station pumps in the United Kingdom, stating that they “hit the nail on the head” because it directly targeted a source of climate change. Malm claimed that climate movements in the West are now using …

Ex-Keystone pipeline employee blames Biden for energy crisis

A former welder who worked on the Keystone Pipeline, says President Joe Biden is to blame for America’s energy crisis in an interview with Fox Business. The pipeline that was intended to ship oil from Canada to refineries in Texas was shut down by President Biden as part of his move to green energy. Breitbart provides the details: “I don’t know how he gets away with keep saying that he doesn’t have anything to do with [high gas prices] when they’ve got everything to do with it,” Neal Crabtree said during an interview this week with Fox Business. Crabtree previously worked on the Keystone XL project and was among hundreds of others laid off after the president took office. Biden canceled the federal permit for the pipeline that would have brought vast amounts of oil on a daily basis from Canada down to the state of Texas. The move was meant to prioritize clean energy over fossil fuels. 64% of Americans blame ‘woke’ politicians for America’s rising crime rate

A recent Harvard/Harris poll found a significant majority of Americans (64%) blame ‘woke’ politicians for the crime wave sweeping America, Breitbart reports. The poll revealed that even a majority (albeit slim) of Democrats (52%) feel the same. Breitbart provides more details: “The latest Harvard/Harris Poll shows that 64 percent of voters say woke politicians are responsible for an increase in crime across American communities, while only 36 percent blame ‘other factors.’” “Across political parties, a majority of voters blame woke politicians for rising crime. Among Democrats, for instance, 52 percent said woke politicians are responsible for the crime surge, while 75 percent of Republicans and 60 percent of swing voters said the same. “Likewise, the overwhelming majority of voters said crime is on the rise where they live, while small minorities believe it is dropping. Leading economists are 100% certain that the US will be in a recession in 2023

Based on several indicators, leading economists are predicting that there is a 100% chance that America will enter a recession in 2023. CBN provides more details: “The latest Bloomberg projections show a 100 percent chance of a recession in the next year. And one of the world’s top credit rating agencies now says the US Gross Domestic Product will grow by just half a percent next year, down from earlier projections.“ In addressing the probability of a recession, Phil Kerpen, an American market policy analyst, told CBN: “I think it’s unlikely that it can be avoided. The question is how deep and how long it will be.” The recession is being largely driven by rapidly rising interest rates being used to combat inflation, which was caused by reckless government overspending. Have researchers discovered the tomb of St. Nicholas?

According to a Turkish news site, Demirören News Agency, researchers may have discovered the tomb of St. Nicholas, the Bishop of Myra while excavating the ruins of a third and fourth century church in Demure, Turkey, Breitbart reports. St. Nicholas, as his name suggests, is the man who inspired our modern Santa Claus. He was the Bishop of Myra prior to his death on December 6, 343 AD. The tomb is probably empty as the bones of St Nicholas were apparently transported to Bari, Italy in 1087 AD, and are now on display at the Basilica di San Nicola. Other bone fragments may have also ended up San Nicolò al Lido in Venice. Nevertheless, researchers believe the newly discovered basilica may still contain other relics associated with the infamous Bishop. Though little is known about St. Nickolas’ life, historical documents reveal that 250 years after his death people were making pilgrimages to his tomb in Bari revealing his growing fame. So how did his life pave the way for our modern Santa Claus? Breitbart provides …

Video: Vancouver is dying

There was a disturbing news story yesterday on how a Vancouver Policewoman, Const. Shaelyn Yang, 31, was fatally stabbed to death by a homeless person while checking on a homeless camp that are spreading across that city. She leaves behind a husband and young daughter. READ: B.C. RCMP officer, 31, fatally stabbed identified as Const. Shaelyn Yang This disturbing incident took place less than two weeks after a video was released about the mounting social problems in Vancouver, Canada. Called, Vancouver is Dying, it already has over 800,000 views: The video alleges that Vancouver’s growing social issues are due to left-wing municipal politicians and their woke policies. This includes a push to defund and hamstring the police in dealing with crime and providing free drugs to addicts instead of helping them break free from their addictions. Not surprisingly just south of Vancouver, across the US/Canadian border, the city of Seattle which has also elected left-wing politicians is encountering similar social problems for basically the same reasons.

It wasn’t the answer the NY Times was looking for when it asked who was the biggest threat to democracy

I am sure it wasn’t the answer that the New York Times was looking for when it conducted a survey to find out who registered voters considered to be the biggest threat to democracy. I suspect the NY Times was wanting the answer to be former President Donald Trump, but instead, Americans said that the mainstream media are the biggest threat to democracy. Fox News reports: Stunning data from a New York Times/Siena poll find the majority of registered voters believe the media is a “threat” to democracy.  The poll details released Tuesday showed that a whopping 71% of the 792 registered voters questioned say “American democracy is currently under threat.” Among those who fear for democracy, 84% of them, or roughly 60% of all registered voters, view “mainstream media” as some sort of threat. A majority, 59%, call the media a “major threat to democracy” while an additional 25% call it a “minor threat to democracy.” Only 15% who say democracy is under threat do not blame the media. Did a Chicago university official threaten students for exposing the evils of Marxism?

When conservative students at the University of Chicago Illinois decided to set up a display exposing the evils of Marxism, they were allegedly met with hostility by a university official, Fox News reports. The display was set up on a sidewalk by Young America’s For Freedom (YAF) on the anniversary of the death of Cuban communist revolutionary and serial killer, Che Guevara. Appropriately called “No More Che Day,” students were also handing out literature exposing Che Guevara’s sordid history, when they were confronted by a university official. Fox News reports: A University of llinois Chicago official was seen on video demanding an anti-Marxist display set-up by conservative students be removed from a sidewalk at the public university. […] He is also heard telling the students that if they don’t pack up, he could file a complaint with the dean of students office. Trust the science: Did Boston University researchers create a COVID strain with an 80% kill rate?

A disturbing report by the Daily Mail alleges that researchers at Boston University have created a new form of COVID with an 80% kill rate. And oh yeah, this deadly virus may also be five times more infectious. The Post Millennial provides more details: Researchers at Boston University’s National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories have created a new strain of the Covid virus, echoing experiments which many believe led to the Covid-19 pandemic. The variant is a hybrid of the Omicron variant which spread over the winter and the original virus that was discovered in Wuhan, with this hybrid killing 80 percent of the mice researchers infected, according to the Daily Mail. Researchers found that when infected with the Omicron variant, a similar group of mice all survived and experienced “mild” symptoms. Did an administrator unlock school doors to help masked gunmen escape police capture?

If you are looking for another reason to pull your kids out of public school, this story may help. The National Fraternal Order of Police recently sent out a tweet exposing the ‘woke’ administrators at a Cleveland high school who allegedly unlocked the front doors of their school to allow masked gunmen to enter. The second set of doors that allowed entrance into the school remained locked. But the administrator allegedly did this in order to help these armed, masked men escape capture by the police. The Western Journal provides more details of this allegation: The nation’s largest police union blasted the “woke” assistant principals of an Ohio high school for allowing four masked gunmen to enter because they were more concerned that the police would apprehend the suspects than they were about the safety of the students hiding inside from the intruders. In a scathing tweet Wednesday, the National Fraternal Order of Police savaged school administrators who unlocked the doors and let the gun-toting criminals inside Cleveland’s Garrett Morgan High School on Sept. 14 …

Is the Dutch government planning to drive farmers off their land?

Influenced by the World Economic Forum, advisors of the radicalized left-wing Dutch government are recommending that the government start seizing farms and relocating farmers as part of its continued attack to drive farmers off the land. However, it appears that Dutch farmers will not go without a fight. Breitbart explains: Dutch farmers’ organisations have vowed to launch more protests in the Netherlands in response to advice from the government’s mediator, who has called for the forceable relocation of farming firms and the seizure of up to 600 farms deemed to be the heaviest nitrogen emitters. Farmers Defence Force leader Mark Van den Oever announced this week that Dutch farmers will once again take to the streets after the government expressed its intentions to adopt the plan presented by former deputy prime minister Johan Remkes to meet the nitrogen standards demanded by the European Union. British Left-wing politicians calling for jail time for praying near abortion clinics

Left-wing politicians in Britain are demanding jail time for Christians who recite Bible verses or pray near abortion clinics in that country. Under current legislation, Christians who do this currently can face fines, there is push to also include a six-month jail time as part of the penalty. Breitbart explains: Christians who are caught “praying”, “reciting scripture”, or “crossing themselves” near an abortion centre could be sentenced to up to six months in jail in the United Kingdom. British officials are pushing to have Christians who practice their faith too close to abortion centres jailed under revamped crackdown rules aimed at curbing protests against the practice. Under current legislation, it can already be an offence to “audibly pray” within so-called “Safe Zones” established around some abortion centres, with those running afoul of the rules liable for a fine of up to £1,000 (~$1,100). Enviro fanatics attack another ‘oil’ painting

A couple of environmental extremists associated with Just Stop Oil tried to vandalize a Vincent Van Gogh painting, Sunflowers, hanging in London’s National Gallery on Friday, Oct 14, 2022 as part of their protest against oil and gas development in that country. The duo threw a can of tomato soup on the painting and then promptly glued themselves to the wall. Other than minor damage to the frame, the painting was unharmed because it was protected by glass. The move was described as ‘political correctness gone mad.’ The Daily Mail writes: A ‘woke‘ jail governor has prompted outrage after appointing an inmate to serve as a job interviewer for prison warders. American inflation hits 40-year high in September

A month after US President Joe Biden signed the Inflation Reduction Act into law on Aug 16, 2022, America’s inflation rate hit another 40-year high in September. It was a higher-than-expected increase.
