Famed Toronto psychologist, Dr. Jordan Peterson, called in for re-education

I briefly touched on this earlier, but I think it deserves its own post. Toronto psychologist, Dr. Jordan Peterson, has been called in for re-education training by the College of Psychologists of Ontario. If the famed conservative commentator fails to submit to re-education, the college is threatening to pull his license. His crime: Should Dr. Peterson refuse: One person tweeted this interesting comparison: But, I presume Dr. Peterson’s re-education training will not include sleep and food deprivation, blaring heavy rock music 24/7, interrogation and bright lights popularized historical re-education programs. Dr. Peterson added that he would agree to it as long as there is full disclosure of the event. READ: Renowned Psychologist Jordan Peterson Ordered to Submit to Woke Retraining or Lose License

Taking risks: ESPN analyst prays for critically sick Buffalo Bills player while cameras are rolling

Buffalo Bill’s safety, Damar Hamlin, has awakened from sedation and was able to use pen and paper to ask doctors a question, the NY Post reports. The question he asked is “Did we win?” Dr. Timothy Pritts, with the University of Cincinnati Medical Center answered, “The answer is yes, Damar, you won. You’ve won the game of life.” Damar, 24, collapsed in a game against the Cincinnati Bengals shortly after tackling Bengals’ receiver Tee Higgins. His heart stopped beating, shortly after the Bill’s staff arrived forcing them to perform CPR while on the field. Damar was then rushed to hospital in critical condition. The game was subsequently cancelled. While still in critical condition, with a recent positive neurological scan, doctors are now predicting a full recovery and his turnaround has been described as nothing short of miraculous. And in the title of its article, Prayers answered as Damar Hamlin wakes up with a chance to make a full recovery, the NY Post acknowledges the efficacy of the prayers that have gone up for the player. …

Peter Hitchens: Calls for a return of facemasks are about fear and control

We are already hearing wails for a return of facemasks and mandatory vaccinations, especially in light of the chaos out of China where its failed zero-covid lockdowns actually made things worse, not better, by preventing people from catching COVID and building up a natural immunity. Peter Hitchens, a columnist for the Daily Mail, recently responded to an editorial in The [London] Times, entitled ‘Wear a Mask, where the newspaper called for people to start wearing facemasks. “It is none of my business, and none of the Government’s business,” Hitchens writes. “What other people wear, on their faces or anywhere else (except for the needs of personal modesty).” “In return, I ask only that you do me the same favour, and do not urge me, let alone try to compel me, to don a garment which I think silly, pointless and politicised.” Hitchens believes this call for a return to facemasks is ultimately about fear and control. But he didn’t stop with just that, Hitchens then pointed to the mountain of evidence that showed that facemasks …

Proof that God can Reach Anyone!

By Rick Renner

Sometimes I hear people say, “I just don’t know if So-and-so can come to Christ. They are so hardhearted and far from God!” If you’ve ever said this about a person in your life, today I want to give you hope. We’re going to look at what kind of person Paul was before he came to Christ — and I believe you’ll see and understand that if God could save Saul of Tarsus (who became known as the apostle Paul), then He can save anyone!

We can’t find aliens, because they all killed themselves off, study suggests

Maybe it is a sign of desperation. But researchers have come up with a new theory on why we have been unable to find any signs of alien life in our vast universe, it is because these great advanced alien civilizations have killed themselves off. “Why aren’t they sending telescope satellites through our part of space?” Caroline Delbert writes in her article for Popular Mechanics. “And how can it be that out of all the planets and systems we’ve peeked into so far, we’ve seen nothing? She then cites a study by three researchers from Caltech and a high school student who concluded that we aren’t finding aliens, because these ancient civilizations have wiped themselves out. “They could even be extinct,” Delbert explains. “In fact, the research includes parameters for extinction and the idea of “self annihilation,” a probability that could be extraordinarily high.” When you remove God from the equation for the development of life on earth, and believe it happened through natural evolution, you have to conclude that it could easily happen anywhere. …

For the fourth year in a row, abortion is the world’s leading cause of death

According to Worldometer, a website that tracks a variety of statistics in real time, for the fourth year in a row, abortion is the leading cause of death in the world, the Christian Post (CP) reports. According to Worldometer, there were over 44 million abortions in 2022. Coming in second was communicable diseases which resulted in 13 million deaths, cancer which caused 8 million deaths, smoking which was blamed for 5 million, alcohol which resulted in 2.5 million deaths and AIDS which is blamed for 2 million deaths. Though deaths due to COVID were included in the communicable disease category, on its own it only accounted for 1.2 million deaths in 2022. It barely beat out deaths from automobile accidents at over just one million and one million deaths due to suicide. But CP noted that there is some disagreement on the total number of abortions performed in 2022. The World Health Organization (WHO), which ironically considers abortion an essential health service, puts the number at closer to 73 million. READ: Abortion is leading cause …

Wayne Johnston: A prophetic word for 2023

A few days ago while celebrating Christmas early with family, I woke up after 3 am because of pain in my shoulder from an injury. I did not want to get up and disturb others, so I raised my arm before God and in hushed tones started to worship and pray. During this time of brokenness, God gave me the following vision for 2023. The next day, I shared it with a church leader where it resonated, and later I felt it was not just a word for his church, but the Body of Christ as a whole. The Vision I saw the master of a vineyard carefully looking over the grape harvest. He lovingly and carefully picked one ripe purple grape and put it on a shelf to admire its perfect mature form. It represented the perfectly formed mature fruit. It had everything in its right place. It was a fully grown grape that had it all together, but it lacked one thing. The master of the vineyard lovingly and carefully picked it up …

Social media causes children to dislike themselves, study finds

According to a survey conducted by stem4, a mental health charity, social media has caused children to dislike their bodies, Breitbart reports. The poll of over 1,024 young people between the ages of 12-121 found: In an interview with The Guardian, Dr. Nihara Krause, the founder of stem4 said: “We need to improve understanding of the potentially compelling impact of social media content, and the reinforcement created through algorithms, on young people’s engagement with apps and their consequent mental health.” READ: Study: Social Media Causes Children to ‘Dislike Their Own Bodies’ Of course, many of these social media giants already knew this. According to the Wall Street Journal, Facebook has conducted several studies on the negative impact that Instagram is having on teen girls. The following are some findings from Facebook’s own studies: “Thirty-two percent of teen girls said that when they felt bad about their bodies, Instagram made them feel worse.” “Comparisons on Instagram can change how young women view and describe themselves.” “We make body image issues worse for one in three teen …

BC government asks doctor to delete database exposing failures of its free drug program for addicts

The British Columbia government, a province of Canada, has asked a leading addictions expert, Simon Fraser University professor Dr. Julian Somers, to delete his database which exposed the failures of the province’s program that provides free drugs to addicts. The extensive database, which provided information on hospitalizations, criminal convictions, and medications since 2004, has been used extensively by researchers studying drug addiction. In his article for the National Post, Adam Zivo explains why the BC government is upset: In B.C., as in much of Canada, the popular approach is to herd homeless people into housing where most, if not all, residents are fresh off the streets, creating a critical mass of trauma and addiction. These residents are then given a “safe supply” of free drugs and provided few resources for recovery and social reintegration. Somers’ study showed that if you house homeless people in a way that disperses them into normal society, and then prioritize rehabilitation, employment and social reintegration, you see a 70 per cent reduction in crimes committed and a 50 per cent …

Germany: Climate activists protest the moving of a hamlet to expand a coal mine

After being conned for several years by environmental extremists, the German government has finally come to its senses and is turning back to tried and true fossil fuels to head off potential blackouts caused by unreliable green energy. The most recent involves the tearing down of the small hamlet of Luetzerath in order to expand a coal mine, which has led to massive protests, VOA News reports. These protests were not taken up by the villagers, who had already sold their homes, but rather by climate change fanatics who occupied the empty houses and refused to leave. When police initially tried to remove the extremists, they pulled back after being confronted with a burning barricade, rocks, bottles, and fireworks. One person also glued themselves to a road. If the activists refuse to leave, the police have been authorized to remove them by force, if necessary, effective January 10th.
