On Wednesday, Oct 6, 2021, three-year-old Christopher Ramirez was outside playing with a neighbourhood puppy. It is uncertain exactly what happened next, but it is believed the pup wandered off and the toddler followed the dog disappearing into a large wooded area near the family home in Grimes County, Texas. Over the next couple of days, members of the family, police, and community volunteers launched a major search effort for the toddler but were unable to find him. Walgreens closes 5 more San Francisco stores due to organized shoplifting gangs

Fox News is reporting that Walgreens is closing five more stores in San Francisco because of organized shoplifting gangs that are plundering these stores. It has already closed 10 stores in the city since 2019 because of the thefts at California stores are now five time Walgreens’ national shoplifting average. The gangs have been emboldened by the passing of a law in the state, that does not consider shoplifting a felony until it exceeds $950. Since its passing, gangs have been organizing shoplifting rings, often composed of underage or homeless people, with leaders even bringing along calculators to ensure they don’t exceed $950. BC women awakens to find meteor in her bed

Around 11:30 PM on Oct 3, 2021, Ruth Hamilton of Nelson, BC, Canada was suddenly wakened by her barking dog and then a sudden explosion. CTV reports that after turning on her bedroom light, Hamilton immediately noticed a hole in the ceiling of her bedroom about the size of fist. It wasn’t until after she called 911 and was straightening out her bed, that she saw a 4-5 inch chunk of black rock underneath one of the pillows. After police arrived, they checked with a group of men still working at a nearby construction site who reported seeing a ‘bright ball in the sky.” It has now been confirmed that the rock in Hamilton’s bed was was a meteor that had slammed into her home. In a recent article on God TV, Rhoda Gayle discussed a sermon by John Kilpatrick who is head pastor of Church of His Presence in Daphne, AL. Pastor Kilpatrick shared that there are signs that spiritual attacks against Christians are increasing. He told his audience, “The level of warfare is definitely increasing. Understanding your identity in Christ

Jesse Duplantis is a popular American televangelist and recently a left-wing news site shared a video of Duplantis speaking at a fund-raising event for another prominent televangelist, Kenneth Copeland. In the brief clip, Duplantis appears to make the outrageous claim that one of the reasons Christ hasn’t returned yet is because believers are not giving enough money. If Christians just gave more, Jesus would come sooner. I am not exactly sure the full point Duplantis was trying to make as the video seems to be cut off before he provided further explanation on what he meant. But as it stands, I don’t recall the Lord listing an increase in Church giving as one of the birth pangs leading to the Lord’s imminent return in Matthew 24. Though embarrassing for many Christians, these type of stories are a good reminder of one of the fundamentals of the Christian faith.
