A Gallup Poll released on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020 reveals that people’s trust in the mainstream media is continuing to erode with 60% of people they have no or little trust of the mainstream media.

Reports are coming in that US President Donald Trump and his wife Melanie have both tested positive for COVID. Fox News reports: President Trump announced early Friday that both he and first lady Melania Trump tested positive for COVID-19 and will quarantine at the White House, sending shockwaves through the political universe and igniting an outpouring of support for the first family. A White House official said Friday morning that the president was experiencing mild symptoms. Another White House official told Fox News that the president was working Friday from the residence. Signs of the end times?

There were threes stories this week that may have ominous ties to the end times. I am not suggesting that they are literal fulfillment of what the prophets saw, but at the very least they reveal how easily it could happen. The first took place in Communist China where according to Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW), the leaders of Huang Fei, a village located near China’s Western border, put up a sign warning people against converting to Christianity. They specifically warned of financial consequences if people choose to believe in Jesus Christ. According to CSW, this could include fines and even confiscation of livestock. CSW also reports that the village of Li initiated regulations that permit people in that village to specifically target and isolate Christians. It is uncertain what the consequences of this targeting would be, but again it’s probably financial. Though this is disturbing news, it also reveals that those in positions of authority are becoming increasing threatened by Christianity indicating it must be spreading. Heavy drinking by women surged during COVID, study

It is tough to decide if this is COVID related or lockdown related, but according to a recent survey alcoholic consumption has surged over the past few months during the pandemic. It noted that one of the hardest-hit groups were women, that saw a 41% increase in heavy drinking. The Rand Corporation’s study compared alcohol consumption for Americans between April and early June in 2019 with a similar period in 2020. Though the study attributed the increase to COVID, the 2020 dates coincided with the lockdown period for most states. Fox News reports: According to the findings, overall alcohol consumption shot up 19% among adults ages 30 to 59; drinking also rose 17% among women and 10% among non-Hispanic white adults. What’s more, “heavy drinking” – as defined by four or more drinks within a few hours – jumped 41% among the ladies from a year prior. Dr. Francis Collins: ‘My atheism was dangerously thin’

It is a powerful testimony of how one scientist, Dr. Francis Collins, realized his belief in atheism was “dangerously thin” resulting him becoming a believer in Jesus Christ. And he is not just any scientist, Dr Francis Collins, 70, also serves as the Director of the National Institutes for Health (NIH) in the US which is the agency responsible for developing a COVID-19 vaccine in that country. He is also a world-recognized geneticist and led the Human Genome Project and is credited for finding the genes associated with several diseases such as Cystic Fibrosis. In acceptance speech, after receiving a Templeton Prize on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020, Dr. Collins shared his remarkable transformation from atheist to Christian.
