Was Mariah Carey impacted by a Christian prophetess?

Having sold 200 million records, Mariah Carey, 50, is a popular American singer and song-writer. In fact, she was the first singer to have her first five singles top the Billboard Hot 100. Last year, based on sales and chart performance, Billboard ranked her as the top female performer in the US. Mariah came from what some might describe as a dysfunctional family and neither her mother nor father, who divorced, were Christian. But there were Christians on her father’s side of the family and even one who apparently was in the ministry. Christian Post recently wrote about Mariah’s recent book, The Meaning of Mariah Carey, where she shared, among other things, about the importance of faith in her life. This included one experience that suggests she was impacted by the Holy Spirit as Mariah was ministered to by Nana Reese, an aunt on her father’s side. Reese not only ministered at a church in Harlem, she was also considered a prophetess. There had been a massive blow up in the family and her Aunt …

Another study links Covid with vitamin D deficiency

Yet another study is suggesting that a vitamin D deficiency may contribute to a person’s susceptibility to COVID. This one is a bit different because researchers tested Britain’s National Health Service workers for Coronavirus antibodies and levels of vitamin D. The Daily Mail explains: Further proof that vitamin D could protect people from coronavirus emerged today after another study found adults deficient in the nutrient are more at risk of catching the disease.  Seventy-two per cent of NHS workers who were lacking in the ‘sunshine vitamin’ also tested positive for Covid-19 antibodies — a sign of previous infection. This compared to just 51 per cent for those who had a sufficient amount. The difference was even greater among those of a Black, Asian or ethnic minority, who may be more likely to have a deficiency because people with darker skin find it harder to obtain it from the sun. Earth’s ideal climate is 5 degrees warmer, study

A recent study, published in Astrobiology, a peer-review journal, will drive the man-made global warming crowd over the edge. Researchers were looking for other planets best suited for sustaining life, but first they needed to determine what would be the optimal conditions for life. The group concluded that ideal temperature would be 5 degrees Celsius (9 degrees Fahrenheit) warmer than earth’s current average temperature.

Captain America is transformed by Christ

There is a great testimony on God TV, of how Captain America recently became a Christian. In September 2019, the story about David Hobbs, 36, went viral after he was arrested by police in Clarksdale, Mississippi for break and enter. Of course, that in itself is not particularly unusual, but what makes it a bit different is that Hobbs was wearing a Captain America costume when police found him hiding in a backyard shed at 3 am. As this image of a drug addict sitting in his costume with his hands cuffed behind his back at the police station went viral, he was mocked incessantly. But one man’s heart went out to this man. When a friend sent Trey Lewis a link to the story, he immediately identified with David, because Trey, was a former meth addict himself. But his life was transformed by Christ, and he started Good Landing Recovery, a faith-based addictions recovery center in Atlanta, Georgia. But more than that Trey also knew Dave because they had lived in the same town …

Infectious disease experts call for end of lockdowns

It’s called The Great Barrington Declaration and involves over 5,000 medical professionals (including 2,400 medical scientist) who have signed a petition calling for an end of the lockdowns because of the damage they are doing to people both physically and mentally. WND explains: Leading epidemiologists have launched a petition calling for an end to lockdowns of the healthy and, instead, focusing on protecting the people who are vulnerable to the coronavirus. Professors Dr. Martin Kulldorff of Harvard, Dr. Sunetra Gupta of Oxford and Dr. Jayanta Bhattacharya of Stanford announced the effort in an interview Monday with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham. The Great Barrington Declaration states that as “infectious disease epidemiologists and public health scientists we have grave concerns about the damaging physical and mental health impacts of the prevailing COVID-19 policies, and recommend an approach we call Focused Protection.” The group added that governments need to take a risk/age based approach to the virus. There is a need to protect people most vulnerable to the virus including the elderly and those with underlying health issues (often …

“Coincidence is God’s way of remaining anonymous”

This article may get me into trouble, because it involves a Roman Catholic and praying the Rosary. Now, I don’t agree with praying to Mary because there is only one mediator between God and man – Jesus, but I do believe anyone who prays in faith to Jesus or God, including Catholics, can have their prayer answered. With that as my disclaimer, I want to share a recent story written by Steve Doocy, a practising Catholic, who works for Fox News. In the 1990s, Doocy was attending a Catholic Church in Washington, DC when he was invited by the local priest, Father Fasano, to listen to man from Medjugorje, Bosnia who claimed to have had a vision of Mary. When Doocy arrived, they had arranged about 20 chairs in a circle in Father Fasano’s living room and Doocy recalled getting what was the last open chair, closest to the door. The man shared his vision and at the end of the meeting, they decided to wrap it up by praying the Rosary. But there was …
