Bolz clarifies prophetic word on COVID-19, millions will not die

On March 10th, I published an article on a prophetic word released by Shawn Bolz about COVID-19 or the Coronavirus. Bolz is considered by many to have a prophetic voice in Charismatic circles. I appreciate his willingness to put his prophetic gifting on the line like this because his prophetic word was in utter contrast to the current media and government sentiments about the pandemic. In this prophetic word, Bolz said that God told him the plague would soon be ending: “The Lord is saying ‘I am removing the threat of this.’ Within a short amount of time the extreme threat will feel like it is in the way past.’” Shawn Bolz, Prophetic Word But that is not what the media and government agencies are reporting. According to an article published by the Daily Mail, the Robert Koch Institute, a government agency in Germany responsible for monitoring disease, warned that the disease could go on for two years. Clowns for Christ

Yesterday I met with one of my prayer partners. We usually go to a coffee shop, visit and then pray. Yesterday was different. I went through the drive-thru, and then he came and joined me in my truck, Old Rusty. We’re sitting in the truck praying and he says something like: “Dear God thank you that you made Andy a clown.” And this was right in the middle of praying for the world, local churches, Covid19, and other important stuff. If you ever think you’ve got something going for you and then someone in your inner circle tells God you’re a clown, right in front of you! Well, that’s humbling. My friend then went on thanking God for me and how my being a clown helped people find perspective and humor even in the darkest times and how my humor drove away tension so they could seek solutions to their circumstances. After we finished praying and as I was driving home, I realized that he and are very much alike in many ways but very …

How To Be SuperChristian In A Pandemic

When you were a kid, you probably wore a cape, at some time, and did a heroic pose. We used to make swords from scrap wood, until my father learned that we were taking the wood from the house. He was a carpenter, and he didn’t like the extra repair work. Imagine now, you being adult SuperChristian. You can do it, and I don’t think you need a cape for that, and your sword is not made with wood. Also, heroic poses are not required. We went to the epicenter of the Coronavirus Pandemic a few days ago; we drove in the evening, after sunset, to Costco. Our store was more peaceful and orderly than some others. I live in Canada, and we’re still waiting for spring, and there were no line-ups in the snow. Things are much worse in warm places: RELATED: The line at this Costco begins at 2:55 a.m. as coronavirus spooks shoppers: LA Times My job was to park and wait. The rule of social distancing means only one person in …

Staying on your side of the street

When I talk about  ‘staying on your side of the street,’ I am not referring to social-distancing that we are seeing worldwide with the ‘coronavirus pandemic.’ I am referring to a ‘pandemic’ of my own making, where the actions and opinions of others sends me spiraling into anger, fear, confusion and doubt about my own abilities.  And, even as scientists are working on a vaccine for the present ‘coronavirus’ threat, I am very aware of my need to become immune to my personal pandemic, where I require validation from others to feel good about myself. One of the symptoms of this disease is that I become negative or depressed when someone says something that offends or degrades me. If I allow their words to affect my life then I have the ‘validation virus.’ The ‘validation virus’ occurs when I lack confidence in my myself and find myself deeply affected by what others say. Because I have failed to validate myself as a person of worth created in the image and likeness of God, then others …

How to plant the right seeds in your mind

“ As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs 23:7 According to this powerful verse in Proverbs, the thoughts we think determine what kind of life we live. In every moment of life, your thoughts impact you for good or bad. And as we journey through life we will have many opportunities to change our way of thinking. The story of Gideon shows us the importance of right-thinking. He was living at a difficult time when the Midianites were invading Israel during harvest time and stealing their crops after the Israelis had spent hours harvesting them. We find Gideon hiding in the wine press threshing his grain. He was hoping the Midianites would not look there because grain and wine were harvested at different times. Then an angel showed up to talk with Gideon, and two words immediately stick out. The angel called Gideon a “mighty warrior” (Judges 6:12). Now it was obvious that Gideon did not think himself a mighty warrior because he was hiding from the Midianites. But those two …

Help my unbelief: An honest confession leads to a miracle

A story on Charisma News about the miraculous healing of a woman who had been sick for nearly 30 years after being struck by lightening is a testament of how God wants us to be honest about our spiritual condition. As a result of a lightening strike, Caleb Hyer’s mother was in a constant battle with pain. This included severe migraines that often left her bed-ridden for weeks. To deal with the chronic pain, doctors prescribed several powerful and addictive drugs including Oxycodone, Fentanyl, Dilaudid and Percocet. Of course these heavy medications brought with them some serious side effects. Caleb Hyers was also a Southern Baptist boy and like most Southern Baptists, he believed in God, but he didn’t believe in the spiritual gifts, and he didn’t believe in divine healing. But those beliefs were challenged when he joined a mission trip to Honduras. While there, he encountered a group of Christians who believed in Divine healing and regularly prayed for the sick. One of their favorite verses spoke about believers being able to heal …

How Langton interrupted an angel

I have a tendency to interrupt people when they are speaking and yes it is definitely something I have to work on. But in my defense, I have never interrupted an angel (that I know of) and should get some brownie points for that. But Stephen Langton did? In my previous article, I wrote about Stephen Langton, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Canterbury, who in 1227 AD created the chapter system used in our modern Bibles. It was a bit of a race, because 17 years later, Italian Cardinal Hugo de Sancto Caro also developed a chapter division, but it was Langton’s system that was used in the Wycliffe Bible in 1382 and became the standard. Now don’t get me wrong, the chapters and verses have proven to be very beneficial, but we also need to realize that they are not God inspired and can be problematic and if they are poorly placed can actually disrupt the meaning of the text. Chapters are intended as hard breaks and imply there is no direct connection between …

How a small, radical-left minority intimidates those holding Conservative views

If there was any group in society that I would broadly classify as anti-conservative, it would be those working in the arts and culture. You know artists, actors, musicians and the like. One only has to look at Hollywood to see the strident anti-conservative views espoused by several actors and actresses and you are left with the impression that most Hollywood elites are the same. But if the results of a survey conducted in England are any indication, this first impressions might be deceiving as it exposed the power and tyranny of a small minority of people who control the arts. ArtsProfessional (AP), an organization providing a news service for those in the arts, recently surveyed over 500 arts professionals in England and discovered that over 80% hide their Conservative views to avoid being attacked by their colleagues and those in the public. In other words, 20% of those in the arts have successfully intimidated the 80%. And you can be sure of one thing, that not all those in the 20% were actively silencing …

Justin Bieber sets a record with his recent faith-filled album

It was his first album in five years, but Justin Bieber’s latest album “Changes” has just set a record. The album with its many references to faith and God is now No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart and with that achievement, Justin Bieber became the youngest singer to have seven albums hit number one beating out the previous record holder Elvis Presley. In the first two days after its release on Valentine’s Day, the album sold the equivalent of 250,000 albums. Those numbers are expected to climb dramatically when Bieber starts his tour. Billboard ranks albums based on several factors including purchases and streaming. Elvis had seven No. 1 albums before he was age 26, Bieber set that record at 25, since he will not turn 26 until March 1, 2020. In 2017, Justin cancelled the remainder of his Purpose tour and took time off to renew his faith in God working closely with pastors from Hillsong. During this time he also got water baptized, led worship services and married Haily Baldwin who …
