Girl falls 30 feet inside a hollowed-out tree, has a vision of Jesus, but then an odd thing happens

[by Dean Smith] According to a report in the Daily Mail, Annabel Wilson Beam, 12, of Texas was playing with her two sisters on a hollowed out Cottonwood tree in December 2011, when she fell 30′ down inside the tree. Trapped at the bottom, emergency crews were called in to pull her out. Falling in and out of consciousness, Annabel then 9 was rushed by helicopter to nearby Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth Texas. After her arrival, MRI scans showed wounds consistent with head trauma (she had apparently hit her head three times on the way down), but other than a few bumps and bruises they could find nothing wrong with her. Annabel was eventually released. One doctor quipped: “I guess someone up there was looking out for her.” That in itself was a miracle. However, after Annabel was sent home, things started getting a bit bizarre. Annabel told her parents, Kevin and Christy Beam, that while unconscious she went to heaven and sat on Jesus’ lap. Annabel described Jesus as having dark skin, …

Truth versus perception: CO2 and global warming

[by Dean Smith] My wife, daughter and I were recently watching a favorite program on Netflix, when I hit the pause button. “I have a simple question for both of you,” I said. It was part of my less than scientific survey on perceptions surrounding global warming. “If we cut out a swath of the earth’s atmosphere made up of 10,000 atoms and molecules, how many of them would be CO2.” What would be your answer to this question?

St Louis’ Doctor says: ‘Heart was jump started by Holy Spirit listening to request of his praying mother’

[by Dean Smith] Attending emergency physician, Dr Jeremy Garrett, called it a ‘bonafide miracle.’ On Martin Luther Day (January 19, 2015), John Smith, 14, along with two friends were out on the frozen waters of Missouri’s Lake Saint Louise when the three fell through the ice. According to KDSK TV, by the time rescuers from the St. Louis Fire Department arrived, one of the two friends had dragged himself out and the other was hanging on to the ice. John, however, could not be seen. After being under water for about 15 minutes, rescuers found John and dragged him out. With no pulse, paramedics performed CPR as they rushed the boy to the hospital but believed there was little hope of recovery.

Former Muslim imam says the Qur’an is the reason he converted to Christianity

[by Dean Smith] Mario Joseph is a Catholic teacher/evangelist living and ministering in India. He differs from a priest in that he is married with children. He also differs in another respect — he was a Muslim imam before his conversion. He grew up in an area of India that was predominantly Muslim and Hindu with few Christians. His family were strong Muslims and Mario was sent to Qur’an school at the age of 8. By the time he was 18, Mario was serving as an imam in his local mosque. In this video, Mario provides the fascinating details of his conversion from Islam to Christianity. It starts, oddly enough, because of question asked in a mosque where he was teaching. He was telling those gathered that Jesus was not God, when someone shouted out: “Who is Jesus?” It was because of this question, Mario searched the Qur’an to find out more about Christ. What he discovered puzzled him. According to Mario, the Qur’an only mentions Mohammad four times, while Jesus Christ is mentioned 25. …

Prayer results in two miracles at Florida’s Boca Raton hospital

[by Dean Smith] When Ruby Graupera-Cassimiro, 40, entered Boca Baton Regional hospital in Boca Raton, Florida, for a typical C-section she was not expecting a few hours later that her name would be broadcast across the country because of a miracle. According to a report in the Sun Sentinel, after her baby’s safe delivery, Ruby stopped breathing and then a short time later her heart stopped beating. A medical team, numbering over 12, frantically worked to revive her. Team members alternated doing CPR as they tired, others applied shock treatments to restart Ruby’s heart. But after 45 minutes doctors realized there was nothing more they could do. Ruby had died.

The Charter: Stepping out of the Dream

So what is your dream, something you want to see, or something you desperately need? Do you want something for yourself or your family, or other people; like a new career, an education, a business, or a mission for God? And you know that all dreams die right? All those great sentiments floating through our heads are just whiffs of electrical energy, and they are born to die. The good news is there are two ways to kill a dream. You can cycle that rosy thought for years and some day it will be a story to bore the grandchildren. I’ve got a few of those. The other way is to the kill the dream and make it into reality. Jesus said a grain of wheat remains alone unless it falls into the ground and dies (John 12:24), and I believe that principle applies to our hopes and dreams. My Grandfather, in Scotland was an expert on religion and theology. He read all the books and had all the answers, except someone told him to …

Miraculous healing causes a stir in Tel Aviv, Israel

Found along the Mediterranean sea in Israel, this area has witnessed miracles in the past. Tel Aviv is located on the old port city of Joppa (also called Jaffa), where Peter raised Tabitha from the dead in Jesus’ Name (Acts 9:36-43). Two centuries later, Jesus healed again and this latest miracle caused a buzz in the city. Even Tel Aviv radio and TV stations broadcasted the incredible healing of Therese Daoud, a Messianic Jew. Doctors at Tel Aviv’s Ichilov Hospital did not have good news for Therese when she showed up complaining of pain in her ankle and leg. MRI scan revealed an orange-sized tumour in her leg. A biopsy indicated it was sarcoma cancer which according to specialists is one of the worst forms of cancer tumors because of its aggressiveness. Concerned, the Israeli doctors sent the tests to specialists in the U.S., who confirmed the diagnosis. To save her life, the doctors told Therese the only course of action was amputation. She had her first appointment for amputation scheduled a few days later, but when …

Sir Isaac Newton predicted world would end in 2060 AD

Most know Sir Isaac Newton as the father of modern science. Newton who died in 1727 is considered among the world’s most influential scientists. He formulated the law of gravity and the law of motion thereby explaining the movement of the planets, moons and stars due to gravitational pull of larger bodies. It radically transformed man’s approach to astronomy. But Newton was also an ardent Christian and had a tremendous interest in end-times theology. He spent hours researching the Bible on the second coming of Jesus Christ. This curious side of Newton was unveiled in a display of Newton’s writings at the University of Jerusalem entitled “Newton’s Secrets.” It was an odd combination — Hebrew scholars analyzing Christian prophecy. A truckload of Newton’s writings and letters — located in the house of the Earl of Portsmouth one of Newton’s heirs — was auctioned off in 1936. English economist John Maynard Keynes purchased the document and then willed them to King’s college in England and to Abraham Shalom Yahuda, a Jewish Oriental studies scholar. The later bequeathed …

Healing baffles government computer and doctors

When June Clarke phoned the British government to cancel her disability allowance, she never expected problems. In 2000, June was severely injured after a bad fall at work resulting in damage to her lower spine, pelvis and hip. Due to the intense pain, she was unable to walk and was confined to a wheel chair. Because the injury was permanent, her doctor signed forms providing disability payments from the government for the rest of her life. But June and her husband Stuart — who serves as pastor of the Hooe Baptist church in Plymouth, England — believed for a miracle. Stuart said he prayed daily for his wife’s healing. Six years later the miracle showed up.

Man raised from dead by son’s shout, shocks medical staff

OHIO. US: When Melissa found her 37-year-old husband unresponsive at their home in West Carrollton, Ohio on August 5, 2013, she immediately called an ambulance. When the medics arrived, they found Tony Yahle with no heart beat. After several shock treatments, they restarted Tony’s heart and rushed him to the hospital. What followed would “flabbergast” Dr. Raja Nazir a cardiologist with the Kettering Medical Centre. Nazir said “In the last 20 years, I’ve never seen anybody we pronounced dead …. and then for him to come back … I’ve never seen it. I’m calling it a miracle.” After Yahle arrived at the hospital, his heart stopped
