Two reports, one out of Europe and another from the US, are raising concerns of the growing persecution against Christians and those with conservative values.
The European report compiled by the Observatory on Intolerance and Discrimination against Christians in Europe (OIDAC Europe) found that the antiChristian hate attacks across Europe are growing.
In May, OIDAC stated that there were 37 hates attacks against Churches, Christian organizations and individual Christians.
This included 13 arson attacks, which was the highest monthly total for 2026. There were four arson attacks on churches in Germany and Italy, and three in France and one in both Britain and Poland.
On a personal level one of the most serious attacks involved continued assaults against a Christian coffee shop in Leipzig, Germany. As a result of 26 acts of hate against the cafe in a two and half year period, it was finally forced to close.
“According to the café’s management, repeated vandalism, graffiti, butyric acid attacks and other forms of harassment, allegedly linked people connected to far-left extremist circles, eventually made the business financially unsustainable,” Christian Today reported.
There were dozens of additional attacks against Christians and Christian institutions across Europe in May, but the 37 were the ones certified as being motivated by antiChristian hate. OIDAC said real number is undoubtedly much higher.
There 38 similar hate attacks recorded in April.
In the US, a report by the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI) concluded that an online ‘anti-Christian’ assassination culture may behind the record levels of threats against Christian and Conservative voices in America.
This may include a recent alleged bomb threat against Erica Kirk who was speaking at a Turning Point USA event in San Antonio, Texas. Erica is the wife of Charlie Kirk a prominent Conservative Christian who was assassinated while speaking at a Utah university in September 2025.
“What we’re seeing is a massive influx of foreign malign influence that is truly shaping the Western world right now, particularly through social media,” said Travis Hawley in an interview with Fox News. “What you could call our digital diet is really shaping how people see ourselves, our values, our country, and even our history.”
Hawley serves as a cyber threat analyst for NCRI. He added that these foreign influencers are pushing an ‘anti-Western, anti-democratic, anti-capitalist’ ideology in an effort to undermine America from within.
The NCRI report added that these foreign influencers serve as a “permission structure,” effectively encouraging acts of violence against Conservative and Christian figures.
