According to a survey of 70,000 small business owners, a significant percentage of them are reluctant to hire university graduates, the Christian Post reports.

According to the Freedom Economy Index survey sponsored by RedBalloon and Public Square, 41% of small business owners look upon potential employees with a university degree as a ‘net negative’ meaning the degree is actually a strike against them.

An additional 42% stated that having a degree made no difference in the hiring process.

This essentially means over 80% of small business owners consider a university degree a waste of time and finances.

On top of this, 67% of small business owners stated that universities are not graduating students with any relevant skills that are beneficial to their business.

The survey also revealed that 68% of small business owners do not believe their tax dollars should be used to pay off student loan debt. Instead, that financial responsibility should fall upon the universities that are providing an education that focuses on left-wing politics and a victim mentality.
