In an interview with CCM Magazine, actress-author Danica McKellar, 48, recently shared her life-changing decision to become a Christian, CBN reports.

McKellar is perhaps best known for playing Winnie Cooper in the popular TV series Wonder Years. After successfully transitioning from a child actress, McKellar has had acting roles in several films for the Hallmark Channel, as well as appearances on numerous TV shows and programs.

In the interview with CCM, McKellar elaborated on her faith adding that she hopes to have completely read the Bible by December 31, of this year.

“In a nutshell, I’ve always believed in God of some sort, but then I found my relationship with Jesus in a very profound way about a year and a half ago. And it’s been an amazing journey becoming a believer,” McKellar told CCM.

“The joy that comes with that,” she added, “is incredible! I had never really understood before.” 

McKellar has also authored nine books. Having graduated from the University of California with a summa cum laude bachelor of science degree in Math, awarded to the top 1% of graduates, many have a mathematical edge, including her first book, Math Doesn’t Suck: How to Survive Middle School Math without Losing Your Mind or Breaking a Nail.

McKellar, who lives in Tennessee with her husband and family, became a Christian in 2022. She will be starring in her latest romance comedy titled, A Royal Date for Christmas, scheduled for release on Nov. 25 on Great American Family. In addition to starring in the film, McKellar also wrote the story for the movie.
