Michael Licona is a Christian professor at Houston Christian University (HCU). He recently posted on Facebook about an incredible miracle that took place in the Gaza Strip when over 200 Muslim men had a dream about Jesus on the same night leading many of them to become Christians, the Western Journal reports.

Licona, who teaches the New Testament at HCU, stated he was recently told about this unusual move of the Holy Spirit by an underground Christian ministry working in the Middle East.
According to the report, a Christian group in the Gaza Strip had been working with about 200 Muslim men who had lost children in the Gaza conflict which started when Hamas invaded Israel on Oct. 7, 2023.
The group provided food and clothing to the men. In addition to this, they also read the Bible to them about how Jesus would minister peace before the Muslim men returned to their homes.
Licona then quoted from the report he received on what happened next:
“Then, a big miracle happened. Last night, Jesus appeared to more than 200 of them in their dreams! They have come back to us to learn more from God’s Word and are asking how to follow Jesus.”
In recent years, there have been dozens of reports of Muslims making decisions to come to Christ because of dreams or a vision they received. It was an event that the prophet Joel saw happening as the Holy Spirit moved on the earth (Joel 2:28-29).
It often takes this type of miraculous intervention to convince Muslims to leave Islam, because in many Muslim countries leaving Islam comes at a huge cost. Not only does it lead to a rejection from family and society, but many times their lives are in jeopardy as well from Islamic extremists.
About 1,700 years ago, the prophet Amos spoke of the rebuilding of the Tabernacle of David that would lead to a remnant of Edom returning to the Kingdom of God:
“On that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, and repair its damages; I will raise up its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old; 12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the Gentiles who are called by My name,” says the Lord who does this thing. (Amos 9:11-12).
The early Christians believed this ancient prophecy was fulfilled when the Holy Spirit fell upon the Gentiles in the early Church (Acts 15:13-19).
The nation of Edom was founded by the descendants of Esau, the eldest son of Isaac and brother of Jacob who would later be renamed Israel.
Though the nation no longer exists, Edom’s descendants make up many of the people who live in the area surrounding Israel today.
Similar to what is taking place now, even in the Old Testament, the Edomites were defined by their absolute hatred for Israel:
5 “Because you have had an ancient hatred, and have shed the blood of the children of Israel by the power of the sword at the time of their calamity, when their iniquity came to an end, … (Ezekiel 35:5 NKJV)
The Hebrew word, ‛ôlâm, translated as ‘ancient’ by the New King James means ‘beyond the field of vision of time or space.’ It speaks of a hatred that goes back so far, that people can no longer remember why it exists.
But even in the midst of this hatred, God says a ‘remnant’ of Edom would come into the Kingdom of God. They would embrace Jesus as their Messiah.
