CTV reports that shots were fired at two Jewish schools during the night of Nov. 9, 2023, in Montreal, Canada.

United Talmud Torahs of Montreal Inc. which operates an elementary and high school, reported finding a bullet hole in their front door when workers showed up in the morning.

Yeshiva Gedola, which has a Jewish school and a daycare about ten minutes away, also found a bullet hole in their front door the same morning.

Though no one was in the buildings when the shots were fired, it seems they were intended to intimidate Jews.

Responding to the shootings, Montreal Mayor Valerie Plante stated, “This is absolutely unacceptable. This is not Montreal.”

However, just a few days earlier a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a Montreal synagogue. Though it went off, it only partially burnt the front door.
