Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, the man who helped found the Hamas terrorist group that controls Gaza which is responsible for the recent invasion of Israel, is now a Christian, Charisma News reports.
His decision to convert came at great physical risk as his life was very much in jeopardy after he left Islam. But not only that, he lost the privileges associated with being a prince in the Hamas world.
But as he became more aware of Hamas’ ultimate goals, Yousef said he had no choice.
“Back in 1996 when I spent about a year and a half in Megiddo prison, you know they killed so many Palestinian people at that time and this is when I decided that I cannot be together with this movement. In fact, I asked myself a question: What if they become a ruling party at some point? What will they do if they succeed in destroying Israel and building their state? What will they do? They will kill our people,” Yousef told Fox News.
“You know Hamas is not a national movement,” Yousef continued. “Hamas is a religious movement with a goal to establish an Islamic state. They don’t care for nationalism. Actually, they are against nationalism. My understanding that they are using the Palestinian cause only to achieve their goals. So, the long-term goal you know, transforming the Middle East and the world into an Islamic state. This is Hamas’ agenda.”
Yousef converted to Christianity after coming in contact with a British missionary in 1999 and in 2005 was secretly water-baptized in Tel Aviv by an unnamed Christian tourist.
