According to a recent report by the Bible Society, the fastest-growing church in the United Kingdom is the Chinese church which experienced an increase of 28.8% over the past two years, Premier Christian News reports.

This was nearly 10 times higher than the growth of the country’s Pentecostal churches, the second fastest-growing group, which reported an increase of 3.3% over the same period.

The growth is largely attributed to the influx of Chinese immigrants into Britain from Hong Kong.

According to the report, there were 138 Chinese Christian congregations in 2021, serving a population of 83,000 Chinese Christians. By 2023, this had grown to 201 churches with nearly 115,000 Chinese Christians attending services.

The study also found that this does not provide the full picture as it found a quarter of Chinese Christians prefer to attend English-speaking churches versus Chinese ones.

This unprecedented growth in Britain again confirms the dramatic growth of Christianity in Communist China.
