According to a survey by the American Bible Society, about half of Gen Z stated that their lives have been impacted by reading the Bible, the Christian Post reports.

Generation Z generally includes those who were born between 1997 and 2012.

When asked the question if “the message of the Bible has transformed my life,” 49% of those between the ages of 18 to 21 agreed with that statement as did 52% between the ages of 22 and 26.

Despite nearly half of Gen Z stating the Bible impacted their life, this age category is considered the least Bible-engaged of all age groups with 60% being classified as Bible ‘disengaged’.

The same survey conducted between Jan 5 to 30, 2023 also found that while a growing number of Gen Z, 34%, consider themselves as agnostics, nones, and atheists, 58% identified as Christian.
