Having made a stunning $131 million at the box office in the US, Sound of Freedom, the true story of one man’s fight against child sex trafficking, is set to hit international theaters starting in August, Christian Headlines reports.
The movie is scheduled to be released in 23 countries, with the movie opening in South Africa on Aug. 18, and in New Zealand and Australia on Aug. 24.
This is followed by a 17-country release on Aug. 31, in a bevy of South American and Latin American countries. This will include Costa Rica, Mexico, Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala, Venezuela, Colombia (where some of the movie is centered), Argentina, Peru, and Ecuador.
That will be followed by a release in the UK on Sept. 1 and Spain on Oct. 11.
The movie’s stunning domestic success at the US box office continues. Even though it has been in the theaters for over three weeks, it is still the third most-watched movie in America according to the latest data.
This past Monday and Tuesday, Sound of Freedom, had $3.2 million and $3.4 million in box office sales respectively putting it in third place both days, behind the latest movie releases Barbie and Oppenheimer, but ahead of the mega movie hit Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.
