Though Muhammad is considered the prophet of Islam, it is interesting to note that the Muslim Quran, Islam’s version of the Christian Bible, has more to say about Jesus than it does about Muhammad. Significantly more.

Among other things, it describes Jesus as a miracle worker, healer, and prophet. The Quran also states that Jesus is the Messiah.

However, the Quran also does not believe that Jesus died on the cross, it actually states that the disciples mistakenly thought He had.

But the Quran also says that Jesus actually did not die and was taken to heaven while still alive. The Quran adds that Jesus will even return with Islam’s Mahdi (imam) during Islamic end times.

This is in contrast to Muhammad who did die and will not return with Mahdi.

So in many ways, Jesus has a very prominent role in Islam, and it could be argued even more than Muhammad.

So with this as a bit of background, Christian teacher and Messianic Jew Jonathan Cahn recently shared in a video about an incident that happened to him on a trip to Nigeria a while back, Charisma News reports.

He was traveling in a vehicle with a driver, who at one point in their journey stopped and got out of the car.

Cahn had no idea what was going on, but suddenly he found himself surrounded by Muslim Nigerians.

With his trademark full-grown beard, the group immediately asked Cahn if he was Jewish, which he answered in the affirmative.

But the next question caught him off guard when they asked him what he thought of Muhammad and Islam?

Cahn’s answer was interesting because he understood the significant role Jesus played in the Quran.

“Islam says that Jesus is the Messiah,” Cahn answered. “So, if Jesus is the Messiah, and it says He’s coming again, then you had better listen to what Jesus says. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life, and you cannot have salvation without Him.”

Having just finished saying that to the group, Cahn’s driver returned to the vehicle. As the car was pulling away, some shouted for the driver to stop.

Though Cahn was concerned about why they were doing this, one of the Muslim men asked for Cahn to say a blessing over them before he left.

And as the group bowed their heads, “I prayed that they would find the Lord,” Cahn said.

Cahn added that was the last he would see of that group, and he had no idea what happened to them.

Because the Quran states Jesus is still alive many Muslims are open to Christ speaking to them through dreams and visions.
