After firing unvaccinated staff, California hospitals forced to use COVID-positive workers

The San Francisco Chronicle is reporting that after firing or suspending employees who were not vaccinated for COVID, California hospitals are so short-staffed, they are allowing employees who have COVID to work in the hospitals, provided they are not showing symptoms.

Breitbart provides an excerpt from the Chronicle:

The policy shift is prompted by the need to keep hospitals functioning during the current surge, the department said. Allowing infected health workers to continue their duties is needed “due to the critical staffing shortages currently being experienced across the health care continuum,” according to the health department’s letter, posted online Saturday, to acute care and psychiatric hospitals and skilled nursing facilities.

U-Haul is experiencing similar problems

The California branch of U-Haul is running into similar problems. But unlike California hospitals, the company is not running out of staff, but out of moving trucks because so many people are fleeing the Golden state.

Fox News reports:

California and Illinois ranked as the states with the greatest one-way net loss of U-Haul trucks, and most of that traffic appears to have gone to Texas and Florida.”

“So many Californians are leaving the once Golden State that the moving giant says it ran out of wheels for them to rent.”
