According to a report released by Dane County in Wisconsin, the number of people under the age of 24 who committed suicide this year is nearly double the total for all of last year. The county is reporting significant suicide ‘spikes’ in all age groups.
Dane County is the second most populous county in Wisconsin. However, the state has 70 counties in total. If these other counties are seeing similar increases, it provides a disturbing picture of the negative consequences of the lockdowns.
The Daily Wire reports:
The number of people under age 24 who have killed themselves compared to last year rose nearly 90% in Dane County, Wisconsin, the state’s second most populous county.
The number of young people in Dane County who have died by suicide rose from eight in all of 2019 to 15 in 2020 as of mid-September, according to the Wisconsin State Journal. The county’s five-year average for annual suicides among ages 24 and younger is 10.
Suicide rates have spiked among other age groups as well, according to Hannah Flanagan, the director of emergency services for Journey Mental Health Center in Madison, Wisconsin.

People have been warning about increasing rates of depression and suicides caused by the lockdowns. Many are bluntly stating that the lockdown cure is far worse than the virus.
Australian mental health experts warned in the spring that more people will die from suicides in that country because of the lockdowns than from COVID. There have been several reports similar to Dane County that younger people are being the hardest hit by the lockdowns.
