It’s from the ‘what did you think would happen file’. During the ongoing COVID outbreak, California Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom decided to release hardened criminals from prison because they might catch COVID.
So, did he expect these career criminals to suddenly reform?
Well, they didn’t and in an impassioned news conference, Fresno County District Attorney Lisa Smittcamp said Gov. Gavin Newsom has blood on his hands because of this decision.
The Daily Wire explains:
Fresno County District Attorney Lisa Smittcamp thundered a powerful message to California Democratic governor Gavin Newsom on Wednesday at a press conference dealing with the surge in violent crime caused by the release of criminals from prisons, stating, “Stop using COVID-19 to promote your political agenda. The blood of the children being shot by out-of-control gang members in our city is on your hands, and on the hands of every person who does not make public safety a priority.”
The press conference was held the same day San Quentin Officials were considering whether to appeal the state’s decision to release over 1,100 inmates.
It is important to note one key phrase that the District Attorney used, she described Gov Newsom’s decision to release hardened criminals back into society as part of his “political agenda.”
This leads to another obvious question are the COVID lockdowns also part of Newsom’s “political agenda”?
