Climate Change reaches official religious-cult status

Many describe the fanaticism driving the climate change hysteria as little more than a religious cult, and this was recently confirmed when the University of Helsinki in Finland awarded Greta Thunberg, 20, an honorary Doctorate in Theology. Yes, you read that right, theology. In its news release, the liberal and clearly woke university described the degree as its highest award. Thunberg is the poster child for the climate change fanaticism that is being used by the political elite to try to control how people live their lives. As one pundit noted, all that’s left is for Thunberg to be declared a ‘saint’ so people can start praying to her. This past week, Thunberg found herself targeted by social media critics after she deleted a 2018, tweet where one climate change scientist/activist warned that if we didn’t end fossil fuel use in five years, all humanity will be wiped out. The fearmongering of the climate change fanatics is starting to wear a bit thin. For the past 30 years, we have traditionally received our annual warning …

Climate hypocrisy: ‘Gas for me, but not for thee’

During the last election, Oregon’s left-wing Democrat governor, Tina Kotek, campaigned against the use of natural gas to heat her state. According to PJ Media, her election website still talks about these lofty goals: “Transition away from the use of fossil fuels like methane gas in homes and commercial buildings. … Tina put Oregon on a path to 100% clean electricity by 2040.” Of course, we need to understand that these environmental extremists want to impose rules upon the serfs, but certainly we shouldn’t expect them to live by the same ideals. According to the Post Millennial (PM), Kotek has apparently applied for permits to install a $300k natural gas/propane heating system in her mansion. PM writes: Democrat Governor Tina Kotek, who previously promised to cut the state’s use of natural gas, is having a dual natural gas and propane backup generator installed at Mahonia Hall, the official residence of the Oregon governor. According to the official bid, “The project includes updating the utility service with backup emergency dual natural gas and propane. Adds a …

Will we all soon be needing a horse and cart?

If I understand the global warming cult correctly, we need to go electric in order to save the planet. If we do that, then according to their propaganda, the world will start cooling off. This is why woke, left-wing governments, with not a lick of commonsense, are legislating an end to gas-powered vehicles. READ: U.S. government to end gas-powered vehicle purchases by 2035 under Biden order AND Goodbye gasoline cars? EU lawmakers vote to ban new sales from 2035 But here is the problem, electric-powered vehicles of every type hate cold weather, so that means these problems will only get worse if the world starts cooling. Apparently, a city’s electric LRT system was completely taken out by an ice storm. READ: Update: LRT service won’t be fully restored until at least Tuesday Another man complained that his Tesla wouldn’t charge because the weather was too cold, causing him to miss a Christmas celebration. The Cult of Environmental Activism

Yesterday, I was working in a small city that I will call Pleasantville because it’s a nice place, with clean streets, green parks and many tall trees, and where most people are polite. It’s a center for the economy of a large region and it has a university campus. It’s also full of retired people because of the low house prices. I’m sure you get the picture. I was in a car, waiting at a red light at a busy intersection, with another person. Suddenly, on my left, I saw someone walking through the intersection, and not on the sidewalk. That person was followed many others, two or three hundred, including at least one person in a wheel chair, and several babies. This was in a city where everyone waits for a walk light, and crosses carefully at the designated crosswalk, showing respect and courtesy to the neighbors. It’s that kind of place. It was shocking to see a large crowd walk through a busy intersection, even when the light was red for them, in …
