Stressed out workers

According to a recent report by Gallup entitled, State of the Global Workplace: 2022, workers around the world are experiencing an unprecedented level of stress. The report stated that in 2021, 60% of workers feel emotionally detached from their job and 44% state that they felt a lot of stress while at work the previous day. Though the stress they experienced may not be related to work, they nevertheless felt stress while at work. What is equally concerning is that only 21% of workers worldwide felt engaged with their work. The level of a person’s engagement reflects their commitment to doing a good job and as well having a sense of purpose at their work. The employees feeling the highest sense of engagement in their work were in Canada and US where 33% said they felt engaged. The areas of the world experiencing the lowest sense of engagement included Europe, where only 14% felt engaged with their job and North Africa and the Middle East at 15%. Canada: Has Trudeau weaponized the justice system?

If you want an idea of what is going on in Canada under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, listen to the interview that Fox News‘ Tucker Carlson had with Tamara Lich’s attorney, Keith Wilson. Tamara was one of the leaders of the Freedom Convoy 2022 protest in Ottawa earlier this year, calling for an end to Trudeau’s COVID mandates. Wilson said that Trudeau has weaponized Canada’s justice system, as the 49-year-old grandmother spent 49 days in jail. The Post Millennial provided some excerpts: “She committed the most minor crime that we have in our Criminal Code, Tucker. And it’s called the crime of mischief. It’s remarkable what’s happened here,” Wilson told Carlson.[…] Wilson went on to explain in detail that Lich’s arrest is “more than a human right’s violation” but rather a deliberate attempt by Prime Minister Trudeau to “intimidate” Canadian citizens. “Look what Tamara did. She inspired not only Canadians, 1000s of truckers, to drive to Ottawa to stand for their rights and stand against the authoritarian overreach from these COVID policies. But she also …

Ireland: Another country’s left-wing politicians target agriculture

By the way left-wing politicians are acting, you would never know that the world is in a food crisis. But Ireland has now joined Holland, Sri Lanka and Canada in targeting agriculture. Yes, Ireland’s political elite is also planning to save the world by starving it. The Daily Caller provides more details: Ireland’s Coalition leaders debated Tuesday the extent of new greenhouse gas emissions cuts for the agricultural sector ahead of a cabinet-wide meeting Wednesday, with the Green Party pushing for a 30% decrease, according to the Irish Times. Others argued that the potential goals unfairly targeted agriculture as “the only sector of the economy that has to make sacrifices,” Minister of State Patrick O’Donovan, who represents a rural area, said.[…] Ireland’s possible emissions rule follows the Canadian government’s move Friday to require a 30% nitrogen emissions cut for the agricultural sector by 2030, which experts told the DCNF would slash production and contribute to the food crisis. And in June, the Netherlands mandated a 50% emissions goal despite acknowledging it could put livestock farmers …

What Does the Bible Say About the End of the Age?

By Dr. Michael L. Brown Let’s be brutally honest here. It would be arrogant and foolish to imagine that, in one short article, any of us could make a definitive statement about the Bible and the end times. After all, these issues have been debated for hundreds, if not thousands of years, and the debate continues to rage until this day. Plus, what Bible are we talking about? And what do we mean by the end of the age? Let’s answer those questions first. When talking about “the Bible,” I’ll be referring to the version of the Bible shared by the largest number of people, namely, the 39 books of the Old Testament and the 27 books of the New Testament. Judaism accepts only the Hebrew Scriptures (called the Old Testament by Christians) as the Bible. And Roman Catholics and Orthodox Christians accept the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the Apocrypha as sacred Scripture. But all Christians agree on the Old and New Testament as being Scripture, so for simplicity’s sake, when we speak …

Study: Vitamin D deficiency increases risk of dying from COVID by 50%

Another study conducted by researchers in Israel and Russia has stated that a deficiency in vitamin D can significantly increased the risk of death from COVID, WND reports. The report published in the Israel Medical Association Journal analyzed several studies that looked at the link between vitamin D deficiencies and COVID severity. The researchers from the Laboratory of the Mosaics of Autoimmunity in Israel and First Moscow State University concluded that a vitamin D deficiency increased the chances of death from COVID by as much as 50%. WND provides more details: They concluded the trials “demonstrate that vitamin D levels are inversely correlated with the COVID-19 severity, serum levels of inflammatory markers and fatality rates, mainly through the modulation of the innate immune response and possible enhancement of antibody generation post-vaccination.” The researchers cautioned that there is “ongoing discussion regarding whether low vitamin D is caused by the infection or if its deficiency negatively affects the immune disease. In any case, they said, giving vitamin D supplements to COVID patients has improved their immune function, …

Honesty in prayer

There has been a trend in recent years, largely due to the influence of the faith movement, that we need to declare faith and belief in the situations we face in our life. Some refer to this as ‘blab it and grab it’. Yet, I am beginning to wonder if we need less declarations of faith and more honesty in our prayer life. And we see that in the story of a man desperate to see his son healed of a demonic affliction. After Jesus took Peter, James and John up on the Mount of Transfiguration for a remarkable encounter with some Old Testament saints, a man approached the disciples who remained below asking for help for his son who was being plagued by an evil spirit (Mark 9: 14-29). However, the disciples were unable to deliver the boy, and when Jesus and the disciples came down the hill they encountered the commotion surrounding the failed deliverance. The man then approached Christ, pleading for help. First, he complained that the Lord’s disciples had been unable …

Canada: More on Trudeau’s assault on agriculture

For those unaware, the Farm Credit Corporation (FCC), is a federal bank that provides financial assistance in the form of loans and loan guarantees to Canadian farmers. Its boss is ultimately Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Some are concerned about the release of information from the FCC’s office in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. According to Blacklock’s Reporter, FCC’s Regina office was wanting employees to keep track of any farmers who may have been involved in the trucker convoy in Ottawa, that took place earlier this year. Truckers from across Canada, gathered in the country’s capital city, calling for Trudeau to end his COVID mandates. Blacklock’s Reporter explains: “Internal documents confirm a federal bank, Farm Credit Canada of Regina, told employees to secretly record the names of customers who supported the Freedom Convoy. The Access To Information records contradict the agency’s public denial it began blacklisting clients “in support of activity related to the Freedom Convoy.” Staff emails showed managers were still compiling names of customers even after cabinet lifted the Emergencies Act: “If you become aware of …
