Poll: University students want less free speech

A survey of university students in Britain reveals that they are increasingly becoming more opposed to free speech and conservative views, the Daily Mail reports. The survey, conducted by Higher Education Policy Institute (HEPI), found that 36% of students believe professors should be fired if they offend the views of students. This is more than double the percentage of students (15%) who held the same opinion in HEPI’s 2016 survey. As well, 39% of students believe that universities should ban all speakers that some students consider controversial, up from 16% in 2016. And 86% of students believe that trigger warnings should be put on material that might cause some students to be upset, up from 68% in 2016 READ: Now students call for LESS free speech… and one in ten wants to BAN Tory party from campuses, study shows So what kind of material could potentially cause meltdowns in students, you ask. Earlier this year, Scotland’s University of the Highlands and Islands put a trigger warning on Ernest Hemmingway’s book, The Old Man and the …

Awake Deborahs, Awake!

By Jill Austin

The Body of Christ is in a radical transition time due to the global shaking that is happening all over the world. The acceleration and advancement of radical Islam throughout the earth, the new surge of power with the Hamas, and the critical dangers that face Israel every single day will only be won on our knees.

Why Every Generation Must Have Its Own Experience with God

By Dr. Michael L. Brown

According to the book of Joshua, “Israel served the LORD throughout the lifetime of Joshua and of the elders who outlived him and who had experienced everything the LORD had done for Israel” (Joshua 24:31). After that, the next generation fell away from God. The people had not experienced His power for themselves.

The problem with electric vehicles

Many woke governments have dived headlong into electric vehicles (EV), often providing subsidies to companies that manufacture them and to anyone who would purchase one. Of course, it is being done in the name of saving the world from man-made global warming. But they have failed to perform one of the most basic checks when diving into an unknown pool: How deep is the water? Not very, according to an article in the Financial Post: The Achilles’ heel of vehicle electrification is the lithium-ion battery, an inefficient, costly and vulnerable energy-storage system plagued by issues of weight, energy density, low performance in cold weather and grid adequacy — and now also by skyrocketing prices of the key minerals it requires: lithium, cobalt and nickel. The electric mobility paradigm needs to be recognized for what it has been: a technical and fiscal flop. It should be shelved before it precipitates a serious meltdown of the automotive industry. Another elitist politician called for cuts to police funding, meanwhile…

It is almost becoming too predictable, but another elitist politician has decided that her rules don’t apply to her. She is apparently above the misery she is causing. Not surprisingly, the New York politician is also left-leaning. Over the past couple of years, Assemblywoman Yuh-Line Niou (D-Lower Manhattan) has pushed to cut police funding, the New York Post reports. In 2020, she joined the BLM bandwagon and called for millions of dollars in cuts to police funding. The New York Post cited the pledge from her campaign page: “She believes that we are long overdue for police reform in this country and that we need to defund millions from the police in order to put critical funding back into our social services, education, and housing.” Ironically, four years earlier, Niou decided to move out of Harlem to neighboring Manhattan. Why you wonder? In an interview with a local publication, the Low Down, Niou said she decided to move to Manhattan because of the growing crime rates in Harlem. In fact, Niou admitted that she was …

REJECTION

One of the most difficult challenges a person can experience is rejection and in a recent article in The Epoch Times, Dawn Milberger, 55, shared her story. Dawn had been adopted into a Christian family, and it wasn’t until she was 18 that she discovered the full story of what had happened, when she finally tracked down her birth mother. It was then she discovered that her mother, with the aid of a nursing friend, tried to abort Dawn several times in the first seven months of pregnancy, before eventually giving birth. Her mother’s friend provided abortion-inducing drugs that she stole from the office where she worked. After telling the story, her birth mom pleaded for Dawn to forgive her. This was the ultimate form of rejection and for the next several months, Dawn struggled as anger began building in her heart over the rejection. But with the help of her adoptive parents, Dawn worked through her emotions to forgive her mother. “He can’t build on us if we have unforgiveness on us. Unforgiveness cannot …
