Poll: Weekly churchgoers are much more satisfied with life than non-churchgoers

According to a recent poll conducted by Gallup, people who regularly attend church are much more likely to say that they are ‘very satisfied’ with life than those who don’t. Christian Headlines reports that the poll found 67% of Americans who regularly attend church said they were very satisfied with life, compared to 6% who don’t attend church at all. Overall 92% of Americans who attend church once a week, were ‘very’ or ‘somewhat’ satisfied with their life and this dropped to 87% for those who attend services less often, but at least once a month. The survey of 811 adult Americans between Jan 3 – 11, 2022 also revealed that regular church attendance had a more profound impact on life satisfaction than even money, as only 61% of Americans who earned over $100,000 per year reported being ‘very’ satisfied with life. Speaking on behalf of Gallup, Frank Newport pointed to several reasons that religion provides: “Belief in religion can give one a sense of purpose, a belief that life itself has purpose, and belief …

Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, comes out of hiding to insult those protesting his COVID mandates

For the past several days, the Mayor of Ottawa, Jim Watson, has basically functioned as the Prime Minister of Canada. This is because the country’s actual Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, went into hiding a couple of days before the truck convoy showed up in Canada’s capital city, Ottawa. Now I may not agree with what Watson did, but at least he was trying to do something as thousands of truckers poured into Ottawa demanding an end to the federal government’s COVID mandates. Not only were people watching this event around the world, it was also a federal matter, not a municipal one. Watson even pleaded to Trudeau for help by setting up a dialogue with protestors: Instead, Trudeau came out of hiding to once again insult the tens of thousands of Canadian participating in the ‘Freedom’ demonstrations taking place across the country: Having, a few days earlier, referred to them as Nazis and racists: But people are asking a bigger question, why is the Trudeau government still imposing COVID mandates when Omicron is no worse …

Are Near-Death Experiences proof of the afterlife?

CBN recently reported on the experience that Tina Hines had after having a heart attack in 2018. When her husband, Brian, called 911, Tina was not breathing and her heart was not beating. A friend performed CPR until the ambulance arrived and rushed her to a nearby hospital. At the hospital, doctors were finally able to restart Tina’s heart, but since she was without a heartbeat for about 28 minutes, they were not hopeful of recovery, and if she did, they prepared the family for significant brain damage. But despite this prognosis, as the family prayed for Tina’s recovery, some experienced a deep peace that she would be fine. The doctors put Tina into an induced coma to help her body recover. But no one was sure what would happen when they brought her out. But to everyone’s surprise, Tina’s eyes opened and, though she initially couldn’t speak, Tina was aware of everyone in the room. Brian gave his wife a pen and paper to write on, and initially, she scribbled meaningless marks, but eventually, …

Freedom truck convoys being organized around the world

Fox News is reporting that the trucker protests that started in Canada calling for an end of the COVID mandates are now spreading around the world. Of course, with the emergence of the Omicron variant, which is no worse than the flu, many are asking the obvious questions: Why do people have to take to the streets to call for an end to governments’ COVID mandates? Fox News reports, that similar to what happened in Canada, Big Tech has stepped in to help the government quell the protest in the US: “Brase told Fox News Digital that the U.S. trucker effort was “just shy of 140,000 people when Facebook dropped us.” On Feb. 2, Facebook removed a Facebook page called “Convoy to D.C. 2022.” A spokesperson for Facebook’s parent company, Meta, told Fox News that the platform removed the group “for repeatedly violating our policies around QAnon,” which Facebook previously labeled a “violence-inducing conspiracy network.” Brase had disputed that claim, saying, “That’s just not true.” Fox News reports that the other countries seeing similar protests …

GoFundMe blocks truck convoy fundraiser but allowed this in the past

There was an uproar over GoFundMe’s decision not to release the nearly $10 million donated by thousands of people to support the truck convoy in Canada, calling for an end of the COVID mandates. A recent poll reveals that a majority of Canadians want the mandates to end. It tells you a couple of things. First, it reveals the political naivety of the truck organizers. This is not an insult. It is a pat on the back, that they haven’t been caught up in the political cesspool enveloping North America. Anyone who has been closely following conservative politics over the past few years did not trust GoFundMe. Secondly, it reinforces the opinions that many have about GoFundMe, which decided to not release the funds, accusing the truck protest of violence and occupation, but allowed this. Fox News explains: However, despite its concern about [Freedom Convoy 2022] “occupation,” in 2020 the platform not only allowed, but also gave its backing on social media to a fundraiser for a farmer working in the left-wing Seattle protest which …
