Old tech 1 – New tech 0

We are constantly bombarded with the newest and greatest technology as new tech replaces the old. But it appears old tech isn’t going down without a fight. In the small village of Powys, Wales, they got a hard lesson on the power of old tech as it took down the new. Every morning, exactly at 7 am, people living in this village lost their broadband internet. Engineers were sent in to try to figure out what was going on. Though testing revealed there was nothing wrong with the network, they replaced large chunks of the cable servicing the village. Still the problems persisted showing up exactly at 7 AM. Finally, The internet providers sent in the big guns, a special technology team, to solve the problem. The Daily Mail reports: Now, after a frustrating 18 months for villagers, the ‘culprit’ has finally be revealed – as an old-fashioned TV.   Engineers discovered the TV set was emitting a burst of electrical interference at 7am each day. They traced the signal to a property in the village …

Poll: Americans want Supreme Court appointment done this year

With the passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a massive controversy erupted in the US over whether President Trump should appoint her replacement now or if it should wait until after the federal election on Nov. 3, 2020, meaning it probably wouldn’t happen until 2021. The Democrats and social activists are screaming it shouldn’t be made during an election year, while those supporting the Republicans are shouting fill the seat before the federal election. We know what the political activists are saying, so what do the people want? Well, according to a poll conducted by Marquette University, 67% want the appointment done before the federal election. The Blaze explains. A majority of Americans support filling a Supreme Court vacancy during an election year, according to a poll taken just days before Ruth Bader Ginsburg died. […] The Marquette University poll found that two-thirds of American adults — a whopping 67% — support conducting the Supreme Court confirmation process during an election year, while just 32% of respondents said they oppose it. Among political …

Good Mocking

Very few of us like to be mocked. When I was young, I was mocked for my short height. I was mocked over some of my peculiar pronunciations. I was mocked for my emotions. As a result, I decided to become as good as the big men in sports and toughness, worked hard on my intellect and communication skills. And hid my emotions. In short (no pun intended), I became who I wasn’t. Now over time, these traits became embedded in me, and I was a bit of an athlete, accomplished communicator and university honour student, and managed to live with and appreciate emotions. The problem is that because of the mocking, I redefined myself. The good news is that because of mocking, I redefined myself. It is written that what was meant for harm against us, God intended for good (Genesis 50:20). This was written about Joseph and his rise to power in Egypt after being sold into slavery by his brothers. In the end he was in a position to save many people …

BLM removes section about disrupting family unit

With many people, including Blacks, starting to turn against the Black Lives Matter (BLM) organization, it is now trying to scrub it original goals from the internet. One of those included its highly controversial plan to “disrupt” the family unit. The Blaze explains: The main Black Lives Matter website has apparently deleted its “What We Believe” manifesto, which included calls for the disruption of the nuclear family. When you try to find the original page that contained that statement, all you find is a blank/not found page. However, The Blaze also provides the original statement before it was deleted: We are self-reflexive and do the work required to dismantle cisgender privilege and uplift Black trans folk, especially Black trans women who continue to be disproportionately impacted by trans-antagonistic violence. […] We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable. Chicago tries to stop church service as lawlessness reigns

When worship leader Sean Feucht showed up in Chicago on Sept. 16, 2020 to hold another of his outdoor, “Let Us Worship” events, the city’s Democrat Mayor Lori Lightfoot welcomed them with police, in an effort to stop these believers from gathering. However, that didn’t stop them as they just turned the worship service into a protest worship march. CBN explains: Worship leader Sean Feucht and evangelist Dr. Charles Karuku arrived in Chicago on September 16 at the latest stop of this summer’s “Let Us Worship” tour that has seen tens of thousands of people celebrating Jesus in outdoor worship events around the country. In a video posted on Twitter, the Christian leaders explained that police officers blocked the group from gathering, so the event was set up in the roadway. Christ-followers united in a large gathering where many people were baptized and others received the gift of salvation. Christians: What happens when we quit?

Are you a believer; in anything? Have you thought about quitting? Do you know anyone who has? The pandemic with the Covid virus has closed churches where I live, and it feels like everyone is dropping out. Quitting is like a modern fad. Often, millennials do not like the things that were important to baby boomers, especially religion. There is a growing trend these days, to quit religion. I have some close relatives who have done that. If you do an Internet search with “ex” and any belief, you will find many discussion sites. There are ex-Mormons, ex-Muslims, ex-Evangelicals, and probably any other belief you can think of. Some have video testimonials. I’m a Christian, so what should I do with this information? This is important. I was raised with the idea that new converts would find their way to the truth, but now we have reverts who leave. There are several possibilities: a) They never really believed. People easily drop out of ‘Churchianity’ if they have only joined a religious tribe. Subscribing to a …

BLM founders: More ties to communism?

A video surfaced earlier this year of one of the founders of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) organization, Patrisse Cullors, claiming she was a Marxist. The Daily Caller explained what happened recently with Alicia Garza, another of BLM’s co-founders: Black Lives Matter co-founder Alicia Garza’s new organization, Black Futures Lab, is fiscally sponsored by the Chinese Progressive Association, which organized the raising of communist China’s flag over Boston City Hall last year. The “donate” button on Black Futures Lab’s website takes users to a donation page hosted by the CPA, which notes that “Black Futures Lab is a fiscally sponsored project of the Chinese Progressive Association.” The partnership between the two groups was first reported by the Daily Signal on Tuesday. The CPA last year sponsored the raising of the Chinese flag over Boston City Hall to mark the 70th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party creating the People’s Republic of China. The event sparked a protest from demonstrators opposed to the Chinese government’s actions in Hong Kong, 7News Boston reported at the time. More Blacks protesting against BLM

We have seen Blacks in the past protesting against the Black Lives Matter (BLM) organization because they do not believe it represents them. READ: WATCH: Black Woman Pours Paint Over BLM Street Art: ‘All Lives Matter!’ ‘We’re Taking Our Country Back!’ ‘Refund The Police!’ The Blaze pointed to another example on Facebook of several black people explaining why they are opposed to Black Lives Matter. The video posted on the Daily Wire‘s Facebook page has been shared 5,900 times. The Blaze provides a few of their quotes: “They’re full of hate. Nobody listen to them. Don’t listen to them. Don’t try to understand them. Why? They are full of hate. You don’t need it. America don’t need it.” “In a black neighborhood, black-on-black crime is real. … White people aren’t doing anything to them.”  “I’m black, 52, I’m not oppressed. Ain’t nobody oppressing me. America’s more free than it’s ever been.”   “They don’t know who they’re mad at. Remember, this started with George Floyd. It went from George Floyd to now, it became the white people. Then …
