Who Do We Blame For The Virus?
So, who do we blame for the “Chinese Virus” or the “Wuhan Virus?” The name says it all, unless we change the name. The World Health Organization renamed it “Covid-19” partly to avoid blaming anyone for it. Some writers think we should blame bats because viruses like the Covid-19 are found in bats in China. It’s a bad time to be a bat. Apparently, the outbreak that is damaging the world so severely, started in China, in Hubei Province, in Wuhan city and that probably happened in December 2019, but the first cases of the disease may have occurred as early as November. The Government of China doesn’t like the criticism, and now we have a claim, popular in China, that the U.S. military somehow brought the virus to China. The U.S. does have several BSL4 labs. That’s the highest level of Biohazard Safety Laboratory. But then, the critics on the other side want us to know that China has its main BSL4 lab in the city of Wuhan, very close to ground zero for …
