Over the past few years, we have witnessed several prominent individuals who have made public confessions of faith in Christ. This includes British comedian and podcaster Russel Brand, former atheist Ayaan Hirsi Ali and the co-founder of Wikipedia, Larry Sanger.
Though he hasn’t made a public announcement, it seems that popular podcast host, Joe Rogan, is now regularly attending church, Christian Post reports.
Christian apologist, Wes Huff, made the announcement in an interview with the Sola Media podcast.
Huff who serves as a director for Apologetics Canada was interviewed by Joe Rogan in January 2025. Since that interview, Huff has had an ‘on-and-off communication’ with Rogan.
“I can tell you for a fact that he is attending church and that has been a consistent thing,” Huff told Sola Media.
“Things are happening. And he’s a very inquisitive individual, and I think for the better in that he’s communicating with me and other people in his life who are influences that can speak into, you know, these issues of reliability and trustworthiness and verisimilitude of something like the pages of Scripture, and where he should and shouldn’t be looking for the information in regards to that,” Huff added.
We have no idea what type of church Rogan is attending. This also does not suggest that Joe Rogan has professed faith in Christ. Nevertheless it reveals an interest in spirituality.
But it falls on the heels of Rogan’s interview of comedy podcaster Cody Tucker, where Rogan expressed reservations about the Big Bang Theory. Curiously, he did it in the context of Christ’s resurrection.
“It’s funny, because people will be incredulous about the resurrection of Jesus Christ, but yet, they’re convinced that the entire universe was smaller than a head of a pin and that for no reason that anyone has adequately explained to me, instantaneously became everything? OK,” Rogan said.
In earlier interviews, Huff indicated that he has been in contact with other prominent individuals who are also expressing an interest in the Christian faith.
These type of conversations catch out attention because of how prominent these individuals are. But it is important to realize that the Holy Spirit is not a respecter of persons.
Nevertheless, celebrities being drawn to Christ serve as a sign. This indicates that the Holy Spirit is moving on thousands of people around the world.
“We had someone who reached out to us recently at Apologetics Canada, who is probably the last bricks-and-mortar Christian bookstore that I’ve ever heard of,” Huff added in his interview with Sola Media. “But they said, ‘We have people walking through our doors asking, young people, teenagers saying, I want a Bible. All my friends are reading this thing.’ So this the Bible is, you know, becoming popular with teenagers. Then yeah, something is happening and the Lord is moving.”
Joe Rogan hosts ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ which is one of the most popular podcasts in the world. It has been the number one streamed podcast on Spotify since 2020, when Rogan signed an exclusive contract with the streaming service. Though he no longer posts live on YouTube, he has 19.8 million subscribers on that social media site.
